I cant remember a time when i couldnt control my dreams. I thought it was normal until a couple years ago when i was having a convo with a friend and she told me otherwise. I can actually like, rewind my dreams and redo something i didnt like or steer my dream in another direction. Its only when im in a really really deep sleep and am having nightmares that i cant control what happens, and even when this is the case im always aware that i am dreaming and can wake up if i want to. Ive never done any research on it because i just never thought to i guess.

Now that i think of it, the Matrix (you know, like in the movie the machines made the matrix) is kinda like one shared CG dream for all humans.
Ha! Never reaslly thought of that.lol

Yes, I can control my dreams. I just imagine something and the dream just takes off. It's fun.

have lucid dreams about three times a week. i have done a lot of research on it and i am trying to improve my abilities in the area...the dreams that i don't like though, are the ones that are lucid, but when you try to do something, it is like you realize that you are just lying in your bed and you can't make yourself move no matter how hard you try...i can't really explain it.
and to dante- that movie was incredible, waking life....when i saw it i was so utterlty in awe by the whole thing, i could barely breathe....(yah me being dramatic Smile)
kisses and blesses,
e.k.

Yeah I have! It is totally bazzar! I was reading about it to see if there was a name for this weird "symptom". I found out it is called "loosive dreaming" It is when you are not all the way asleep and it only happens when logic is greater than the dream... It was really amazing I read it in a dream book at the library.

i second that dante; "waking life" is probably the koolest movie eva.

babyangel- i too had a lucid dream once when i was little. a monster was chasing me, and i stopped everything, realized it was a dream, turned around and faced the fuzzy scary monster and....

became his friend! it was sweet cause he gave me piggy back rides and we chased after other monsters..yeah it was tight.. i woke up smiling. no more night terrors after that.

but before that i figured a secret that would always save me. if the nightmoui becomes to intense; recognize your dreaming... want to get the f*** out of there.... and jump. as high as you can; arms up. you'll wake up. that was my trick... but i still always woke up scared as hell.

i still haven't figured out that whole light switch thing yet. i'm working on it.

Anyone into this kinda thing, or interesting in being able to control their dream should do a search for Lucid Dreaming (which is what it's called).
There's also a wonderfully spectacular movie kind of about it called "Waking Life".

sometimes i can control my dreams but never in deep sleep. I have an extra stage in the sleeping process somewhere near dozing where i lie on my back and get lost in a dream.I can still be alert to my surroundings but i'm in a different world. I don't control what happens first but i can steer the dream to my liking after the staring point. is that strange

i once was able to control one of my dreams, there was this creature running after me, and i turned around and said "you cant do anything 2 me because i know im just dreaming", i woke up after that knowing exactly what had just happend and when i went back 2 sleep the dream went on.

No I've never attempted to control my dreams. But I have dreamed of, had dream conversations with, people, far in advance of even having met them.

Awesome!
