When I wake up in the morning, one of the first things I do is take a shower. I like to shampoo and condition my hair each morning to keep it clean, soft and shiny. Then I take the time to brush and blow dry it and use some hair glossing cream to keep the static down. Sometimes I'll leave my hair down, other times I'll opt for a ponytail or a messy bun.

I'm sure many of the ladies (and some of the guys too!) would agree that we take pride in keeping our hair nice. It really is a major part of our appearance.

Just think about what would happen if you lost it. For hundreds of young people all over the country, it is a harsh reality. Life saving cancer treatments often have the unfortunate side effect of causing hair loss.

"That's terrible," you think, "but what can I do about it?" An organization that calls itself "Locks of Love" is helping to answer that very question. It is an organization that accepts donations of human hair in order to make hairpieces at no charge for cancer patients who have lost their hair due to chemotherapy. If your hair is long enough for you to donate 10+ inches, that is great. If not, you can go to this page and vote for Locks of Love as the J1C for the month of March. It is a very costly process to make each hairpiece, and I would love to see YN get involved in this worthy cause.

The next time you wake up with a bad hair day, remember those who no longer have the privilege of a bad hair day...and then vote for Locks of Love.

Thank you! :]

This.

Megan if you ever go to the ATM and see it read "FEED ME A STRAY CAT", you're in for a wild ride.

If this is about cancer patients why did you call it 'Meagan's Hair'?
