It's warm and pretty tropical, making it a great place to retire. However, there are also a lot of families that live there, and it's a popular travel destination.

One of my best friends was in town for a few days after finals and before her summer classes. She's leaving tomorrow morning. :[

Wow.

That's hilarious.

My little niece opened my moms drawers and decided it would be pretty cool to put layer upon layer of her underwear on her body. :/ Then she got stuck and couldn't get it off. It was pretty funny. Smile

I got a sunburn on my face. Quite painful. On the plus side, my skin is gonna look AWESOME when it heals.

In other news, ...MACGRUBER!

I spent all yesterday studying. I have my final exam of the day in an hour and a half. I think I'm done studying.

Smile. Yes, as Michiganders, we have something even better than the ocean...we have freshwater lakes!

So Thursday we went to this little island. The beach was really windy and sandy...my sister and I sat under a palm tree away from the beach. Then yesterday, we went to this fancy resort/county club. It was pretty fun...until I somehow managed to sunburn the top of my left foot. For me, sunburns don't hurt so much as they ITCH!

Today we're going to our friends' house on the river. Apparently we can take their boat from their place all the way to the Gulf of Mexico.

I found out that if you fly Southwest, and are flexible on your travel times, you can get tickets $49 one way! Mind you, those are the flights first thing in the morning...so you have to be willing to get up ridiculously early for them...

Pshh, yes it is.. the price of gas/a plane ticket to Florida is more than the entire cost of a usual vacation for my family. :P

Florida's not that expensive. It just depends on where you go. We usually go to Destin. There are also some great beaches in Alabama, such as Gulf Shores and Orange Beach.

I haven't. Florida's expensive, and so is getting anywhere near the ocean. Frown

We're in Tampa/St. Pete/Clearwater (How bad is it that I don't know the city name where I'm staying?) staying with friends of the family. Yesterday we drove about an hour and a half north to Orlando and went to DISNEY WORLD! We took plenty of pictures which you get to see once I get home.

Today we're going to the beach...again. I'm all for the beach, but I got a bit burnt when we went on Tuesday thanks to my lack of coordination with using the spray sunscreen. I'm not really tan yet...just red and white stripes.

And yes Rachel, this is my fifth trip (excluding when my mom took me when I was itty bitty) to FL, plus I've been on two cruises...so I've not only seen the ocean, I've sailed in it and swam in it.
