Mm, all the Springfields in the US had their townspeople vote and whichever won was the "real Springfield". Some people are complaining that we "really are" the Springfield, because he was from Oregon (Portland) and we have landmarks that are the same. I really don't care all that much, but it bothers me that people are getting so up in arms about a cartoon.

People are trying to boycott the new Simpsons movie because our town didn't win and, ah, was it Vermont that won? Oh well. I think it's dumb. It's by popular vote, plain and simple.
