I liked the aerospace museum, didn't get to check out the natural history one but I'll try next time I cross the atlantic. On a side note, I'm getting a tatoo on thursday or friday this week, and I'm trying to psyche myself up to cope with an hour of tiny needles grinding my shoulder.

Think Hope Diamond. I went to the museum with a group of people. All but me and two other guys decided to sit in the cafeteria eating Gelato. They rest of the group wanted to move on after the gelato, so my 2 guy friends and I hit all of the museum but one floor in 15 minutes. It was pretty cool. We basically wanted to see the mummies (we were disappointed) and the Hope Diamond. We saw both and then some. errr... your shoes might be corframs then. does it say their leather any where on them? or any thing like "Patent Leather" oh and if you can see yourself in them right out of the box their corframs and starch is something the dry cleaners do for you. so when they ask get a mid-level starch the first time and adjust from there. The starch will keep your shirts looking crisp and it will keep you from pulling out the iron every time you wear your uniform. Check your manual on dress and apperance and find out if your supposed to have military creases or not. If you do just take them to a dry cleaner and have them put the creases in. It's an advanced ironing skill and should never be tried with out prior experience quote: Natural History Museum. And go to Arlington to see the cemetery if possible. It's worth it.
heh Ikki and I pulled an "identical advice" though we did choose different smithsonians to see. (honestly though Natural History is also very cool to see think your local Natural History meuseum only a bajillion times cooler)

quote: woohoo! some words of advice, don't starch heavily or you won't be able to move. and shine your shoes in a circuler motion with a cotton swab, use warm water in addition to your polish (make sure your using Kiwi brand) if you have corframs (patent leather shoes that you don't have shine) shame on you to start but get out windex to shine them.
*smiles and nods* I don't know what starch does... Nor do I have any idea what the deal with my shoes is...they're black and shiny (and cuter than I was expecting, apparently even very masculine shoes are cute when they're a ladies 8.5). According to the soles, they are "oil resisting" and they are made with all man-made materials. "Never doubt that a small group of committed people can change the world. What would you say is the most important thing to see while you are in Washington DC? Gotta know, I am leaving this Friday.

My USCG Auxiliary uniform came in the mail today. My mom did my measurements and underestimated all of them. Therefore I need to exchange my pants (and I figured I might as well get the next size up cap to accomodate a ponytail). ...I'd go if I had a car. Usually on Halloween in Detroit, it's just a bunch of fires (people burn down the abandoned houses) ...it isn't as fun as some giant party in Wisconsin would be.
It's $5 a person to go, now. While waiting for the promised "best four years of [my] life" (Various People), I found YouthNoise. http://tinyurl.com/2kbx5p

My sister has a piano recital today. I still need to file my FAFSA for the year. (I have until the first of July, I needed to have it in on March 1 to be eligible for priority consideration, but seeing as how I only need it to get my scholarship and they never offer me anything else that I would actually want...) there are gangfights on the streets here quote: By the way, you have the lingo wrong. It's not UWM. Outside of Madison, it's called Madison. Inside, it's called "the U."
Not trying to get any "lingo" down thanks quote: "own State Street,"
makes more sense, what the hell is it (besides a street) and why would I want it in the first place?
