you didn't go off at all, that is exactly what I was talking about. It's like you were saying, you get stuck in your head and that isolates you from other people I guess(who probably are having the same thing). But when I think about it it's like, the fact that I can even permit myself to think about this should already make me stop feeling this way. Because while I'm sitting here typing on my computer there's people really suffering(and not in their head). I don't know. It's all fucked up. Well, partially. I think it all has to do with trust. You never stop learning about other people that even when you have a close friend you can have complete opposite opinions on certain issues. That could make you feel miles and miles away from even your closest friend. I think that if you are able to realize that what matters is your friends heart, and that that your relationship is important to you, then you can move past it.

There are some people who tend to isolate themselves. I tend to do that at times. I'm the kind of person who thinks way too much for my own good. I analyze situations to death. I observe behaviors and I'm very careful not to dismiss someone merely on their first impression or first mistake. But I do tend to separate myself much and live in my own head.

Then again, I've met some people who can never be alone. They fear isolation. They need company, no matter if it's bad company. And that is how some people get in some real trouble. They'll do anything to be accepted.

But you know what your question also made me think about? How we tend to clutter in groups with people who are similar to us. Or how some groups are so hard to get in to and new people are turned away immediately.

In then end though, humans are social beings. We crave for social interaction. I think though that humans are getting more cold, and even more so today. We are desensitized by other peoples suffering or by other peoples problems. I'm trying to fight against that on a personal level because I like connecting and helping people.

There are some times though, when I do feel very much away from others. I don't know if you ever get past it, because it still happens to me. I guess I will know the answer in the future.

Ah, I might have gotten way off from your question, but those where the things that your question made me think about.

thanks YV! that is part of it, not completely but yeah certainly part of it. I was getting at the fact that human beings are just so separate, it feels like there's a wall between us(like even with friends), and I was wondering what people thought about that? Do you even feel like that? Do you get over that or do you just learn to live with it?

Hm...well I think that some people are able to move on from that and overcome their shyness. On the other hand, I think that there are others who simply stay away and have no intention of getting past it.

I use to be terribly shy. I'm still shy today, but I think I've gotten much better. I'm not the most outgoing person on the face of the planet, but I think I'm okay when it comes to being social.

My grandma just got here, along with my aunt. They're staying for two weeks. Two weeks with my grandmother....

On a completely different note.... My school play's on Friday. We haven't finished the set, gotten all the costumes done, and I'm not even sure people know their lines.... We're dead.

We went to a Mardi Gras parade today, probably the kinkyest mardi gras parade in the history of Mardi Gras parades. It was fun, though now I am stuffed becuase my aunts from Oklahoma are in town and we had family over tonight and we had a ton of food. I think I might go for a walk after the family falls asleep.

My papers are coming along very slowly...I may not actually go to bed tonight.
