Tonight, in the cafeteria, it's fajitas/nachos/whatever you can make out of tortillas, chips, black beans, rice, and nacho cheese. Here's the catch: Tonight they are also asking as an attempt to save water that we do not use silverware or plates/bowls/etc. This will be interesting. If I go, I'll tell you how it went.

I am officially bloody brilliant. So I've dragged my computer to two different locations today, both with secure wireless connections, neither of which I was informed of the key to. I figured out both of them on my first try. However, it's very noisy here, and I'm not really getting anything done...

Can your parents afford a new computer? And be grateful you HAVE a computer. That's better than a lot of people.

Umm...wouldn't the best thing be to keep up with your classes in the first place? Then you would be graduating on time...regardless of your parents' choices on technology.

Meg's Schedule for the Day: Theology Philosophy Political Science Association meeting Home (for about an hour and a half) Babysitting Dance studio (where I will be stuck for about an hour and a half) Tap class Home I have about 15 minutes of American Politics homework for tomorrow and a bit of philosophy reading that I ought to do for Thursday. Plus, I need to find out when my store manager will be working so that I can talk to her about adding a new job. Plus, I have to set up an appointment for academic advising this week so I can register next Tuesday.

I love how my math teacher doesn't check homework or make us turn it in. She just walks around to look and see if we did it, and then gives us credit for it if we did. So I can take out any assaignment from my notebook, change the date to today, and she'll give me credit. God, life is awesome...

No one is online to distract me from my homework...that in and of itself is distracting.

So I got kicked out of homeroom today. Some of the school is doing a "domestic violence" awarness week and while that's all well and good they started ratling off all these statistics. Such as "every 9 seconds a woman dies from domestic abuse" (I think that was it, it may have been "is abused every...") and that kinda pissed me off with all the other statistics. because people were treating these as facts. Unsourced, from a non-biased study group (the orginization itself). If you do the math on that 9 second one, it means that every year 3504000 women are abused/killed. I doubt we'd need an orgninaztion to tell us that if it was that wide spread. Yes domestic abuse happens, is it that wide spread? hell no. But these statisics made it feel like half the planet was going home at night to have the shit kicked out of them by the other half for not getting the half doing the beatings sammich fast enough. okay I'm just going to stop and make a thread

Yay for Cap and Amp! I was offered the Disney Store job if I want it. She said she was also very willing to work with my Bath and Body Works manager on scheduling if I wanted to work both jobs. I think I am going to talk to my BBW manager about it and see what happens.

I just got back from my first night working at the haunted house.. And dude.. It was... AMAZING. I lost my voice and I'm covered in liquid latex that hurts like hell to get off and the makeup is probably gonna stain my skin and I'm gonna hate myself in the morning, but tonight was awesome.

I didn't have to work my on call shift today. We had our meeting, and from the looks of it, I'm the best new seasonal employee they have...which means if they end up hiring long term, I would probably be offered a job. I really like my job when I'm actually working. However, I don't like all of the on call I have to do with them, and I don't think they take good enough care of their employees. I don't think I won't be offered a job at the Disney store when I go for my interview today. Thus, I don't know what to do. I think I'll just have to talk to the lady I interview with today and ask a bunch of questions. It's such a shame I can't sit down and talk with managers from both stores... EDIT: Sheesh, I didn't realize this was a triple post! You guys need to talk more...

I'm working 10:45-7 today. It's technically two shifts, 10:45-3:45 and 4-7...which I'm pretty sure means that I get a 15 minute break during my first shift...but no meal breaks. I really can't complain about getting 8 hours of work though...

So today my management professor gave me an old edition of a business management book for getting an A+ on my exam... quote: and dont you have to send college apps your junior year?
Nope. You take the ACT/SAT around April, then you should have your apps. sent in probably by Christmas of your senior year.
