I have a really big exam today in my women in politics class. Everyone has been IMing me all weekend asking what I think is going to be on the test and how they should study...apparently they think I am a good source for that kind of information and will do well. Wanting everyone to do well so that they willingly petition out of the final, I've been helping them. I am so terrified that I will now fail. ("Fail" here means by my standards...) It would be even worse if I failed and the people I helped fail...

I would trade you. I love the cold.

Tell me about it. Hopefully the weather will stay warm for Halloween. It's always nice when that happens. The first of November should be at most in the 40s.

I hope it's a nice day tomorrow, too. I need to be outside for awhile, and the nicer the weather, the easier it is.

I AM SO JEALOUS OF YOU AMP! I want it to snow here... I am also jealous of the fact that you don't have a women in politics exam tomorrow that you have to study for...

I considered going into social work...I think it would be incredibly rewarding. I just don't think I could be doing that kind of work for a living without it spilling into my personal life. :-\ On another note, I think my mom is dragging me to the boat today. Sarah's going off with her friends...again...so I'm stuck keeping my mom company while she goes to the boat. Nevermind the fact that I have a women and politics exam (that will likely be 50% of my final grade) tomorrow that I need to study for...

yeah I've been shown to be good at it (hell all my friends and even people I barely know come to little ole'me for advice, help and venting) and I really do enjoy helping people

But do you enjoy it, and do you have the temperament to do it as a job? It'll pretty much be thinking about it nonstop.

Good for you Meg! I hear Disney is supposedly to be a brilliant company to work for. Plus, its Disney. I mean Disney is pretty amazing. I've been considering doing a summer internship at the parks in Florida. I hear its a great thing, my best friend's sister did it last year. My fingers are crossed too.
"I'm loosing my mind!" That's right. I'm going to set it free and let it run around on its own for awhile...

I have a job interview for next Saturday morning. The Disney Store called me about my application. At first I told them I already had another job this holiday. After I was off the phone with them, my mom was like "you should have taken the interview, haven't you been saying how much you want to quit your job at Bath and Body Works?" So then I called them back and I talked to the store manager about their store a little bit, and how they conducted their on-calls...she thought it was terrible how I was on call 5 days next week, and of course she would love to still give me an interview. She was doing group interviews, all three sessions of which interfered with either school or my ONE shift for BBW next week, and she said she had no problem setting up a one-on-one interview with me around my BBW schedule. *fingers crossed*

Yeah... I stock shelves and wings would get in the way. I'm also not one for parties. Never liked socializing. Will do pumpkins, though. I have to find a design.

Tonight I went to my friend's volleyball game. She goes to school in New York, but was playing at a nearby University. It was nice to see her, but it was also a pretty scary night. Her nephew, Ben, is the little boy I babysat last Saturday night; he's a year old. I found out today that he had a seizure Tuesday morning (likely as a result of a case of pneumonia he had...apparently, it's relatively common among infants) and when they took him to see a doctor, they found something wrong with his heart. They transfered him to the University of Michigan Children's hospital today and an MRI concluded that he has a tumor on his heart. He's still so small, and it just breaks my heart. If you are the praying kind, please keep him and his family in your prayers.
