There's been a lot of useless jibber-jabber on and about the marriage threads lately. Apparently some of you are concerned about newbies ruining the marriage thread with endless posts about irrelevant, unfunny crap, while others feel that the veterans and moderators are power tripping. I think I've worked out a compromise that's bound to either satisfy everyone or no one.
I call it YN civil unions. Newbies who are missing the point entirely will get all the legal benefits of marriage without threatening the sanctity of our marriage thread (plus this way we won't have to talk to them).
All you YN young'uns can use this thread to discuss your YN love lives, your romantic aspirations, and your dogs (and the weather and what books you're reading and whatever other topics you feel like clogging this with). The biting irony and social commentary that we veterans like to pretend exists in our marriage thread will be left intact.
Good enough?

A note from the happy couple: Gone to Ireland to elope because we can't find a minister around here. Will be back soon and hold a full ceremony when we can schedule it properly. regards, Risk and Amp
