I already know the Heaven/Hell theory ... but does anyone have any alternative views?

i personally believe in reincarnation. i think that we are all put on earth to accomplish something and when we are not able to accomplish it we are reborn to try and do it in another life as another person.

i think that as a being you cease to exist, some people are just more reluctant to admit their nonexistance than others.

Here's what I believe.

I believe that you are less an actual person, more a soul. Your soul is born, somewhere, somehow, and you go through a life and a body. When you 'die', you leave the body and go on to a different life and body. In each life there are 'lessons', and you must learn each one before moving on. When you have learnt all the lessons, you move on to a higher plane of existance. Perhaps akin to 'heaven'?

Whoever said there was anything after life? I personally do not see death as a means, but rather as an end. Perhaps I am wrong, perhaps I am not... All the more reason to live your life to the fullest and not hold out on anything.

I do not believe in hell, but will not completely rule out heaven as a possibility.

I think the point of life is to be happy - or that is one of my theories anyway - and I believe that the best/easiest way to become happy is to do nice things for others. Or maybe the point of life is Love. Because sometimes I am happy, but I am the happiest when I feel loved.

Alright. I think that our spirits have a place to go after death. Not necessarily heaven or hell, but someplace. I also think we do not get judged on what we do during life, but how could I know? I've never died.

NO! i'm not saying the meaning of life is to JUST make people HAPPY, i'm saying.....that the meaning is to make other people have expressions, i said in my last post (to see the hatered...) so as you see i said nothing about ONLY making eople HAPPY, if you7 think making people have feelings is forcing it on them idk about other people but i think you are wrong just worng

PS: who is to say making other people happy doesn't make you happy yourself? Example: you give a person on the street $5, 1 week later you see them on TV thanking all the people that gave him money, cause he has some place to live now. ARE YOU HAPPY THAT YOU HELPED SOME1 IN NEED? i sure would be

Not that I have a better answer as to what the meaning of life is, but if it is just to make other people happy, then everyone is just focusing on making everyone else happy and no one is being happy for themselves...If that made any sense. It sounded better in my head.

i think the point of life is to give other people joy. so the only reawson to live is to see the happy expressions on loved one's faces when you are near or see hatered in people's eyes from people who hate you, cause think about it do you want to live in a world where no1 is happy/sad/angry/etc. NO!! i think that would be rather boring

yeah moi (or for the people who don't speak french "me")i have 2 theries
1)you stay in the ground never to live again CAUSE UR DEAD ur not going to rise to heaven r any fony thing like that rfemember people U R DEAD!!!
2)there are some religions that say if you arn't part of their religion you r going to go to hell. now there are more then 1 out there, therefore everyone is going to go to hell. so whyy have a heaven if no1 can get there?
