My favorite story from the gulf war is the PA Officer who orders a bunch of jarheads to play football in front of a reporter in full MOPP gear. The Grunts loved this as they had to burn the MOPP gear afterwards a little grunt math for you: Heavy Ruck- 10pnds of MOPP gear= Lighter Ruck=Happy Grunt

know what was stupid... we where worried that saddam had all sorts of blistering agents, and our guys are running around gulf war 2 with full mop gear (suit boots gloves and mask) and the dudes from the media are in a short sleeved shirt and a gas mask... sorry fucker but if theres chemical weapons we are going to know cuz he's going to be the first to die.

Well, than create some non-militarial violence with me. As my dad says, "The military have acronyms that are about a page long. They have them for everything. So don't even try to understand what they're saying" (He engineers equipment that is sold to the military only) So, hubbabaloo gets out the hose and squirts all non-militarial personnel.

Well...thanks for that. I have every intention of remaining a "civvie" for the rest of my life, unless I went into the medical corps. My picked career is an RN, so yeah. Or a linguist. And yes, they do have devisions for both of those in the military...but I don't know.
