A couple days ago my teacher was giving a lecture and she said that racism was an overused word and that it's not bad at all anymore.What do you think?

Just one Friday I was at the video store with my friend. I overheard some guys talking about a movie. "Crappy movie, but it's got Halle Berry naked." "Ewwww, how can you like blacks?" Okay, so it's not "terrible" but racism still exists.

Do you mean racism itself isn't bad? or that racism isn't a bad problem anymore?
Racism itself is still bad and always will be, at least in my opinion. To treat someone differently because they are a different race is wrong....a person can't help their ancestry. Same thing goes for kids of criminals or whatever. You cannot change who your parents are or where you come from. People don't seem to understand that and so they treat other races badly.
