I recently told a girl that I had been crushing on for quite some time that I liked her as more than a friend, she told me that she liked me alot too, but she didn't want to go in that direction...i accept that but i still feel pretty bad and confused on what to do now.

Any ideas?

But in my "experiences," girls can be the most deceptive thingies ever.. Not that guys are all perfect (Dude, guys like, totally suck sometimes).

I was sitting at my lunch-table, and one of my friends, Scott, turns around to see some girl standing there. This girl is constantly touching him and acting weird... Scott says "Why do you act like we're going out?". She goes back to her lunch table and says "Scott thinks we're going out!".

Yeah, just an example. I've been left hanging, I know how you feel. It's hard to turn your own feelings down of course, but you wont always be able to get everything you want. Perhaps you will take this as a sign that some greater power conspired against your "together-ness." More then likely, you'll just be sad for a while, and she might feel awkward talking to you, and stop completely (I've had that happen also). My advice: don't spend your brainpower on it!! You've got better things to think about it, just be kind and stuff around her, and if she told you the truth, things will work out.

This happens alot. I had a crush on this one guy for a LONG time...he was sending me mixed messages so i thought he liked me. Later i found out that he didn't and he got mad at me for tellin my friends that 'I think he likes me'. I got over him. Hey at least she told you that she didn't want to be more than friends. If she doesn't like you like that then move on. It can be hard sometimes but i'm sure that you'll let go and move on to someone else.
