hi im getting my braces on this thursday and and i wanted to know if anyone wiht braces can tell me what the first couple of days are like? Will my mouth be sore or anything, my main concern is that im meeting this really hot kid who i might go out with and i wanna know how messed up my face will be for the weekend? Thanks alot to neone who can help me

i called a girl tisel teeth when she had braces and she hates me so much for it..some people are just so weird, they don't know how to take jokes at all....

I know this is a repeat thread but.....
The first couple days are a living hell. By the third day or so, your teeth start feeling better and by the end of the week they only hurt once in a while. By the end of your first month, you might not even feel them.

There are about 20 other threads that are identical to this one, so you'll probably get a lot of information from them.

But to answer your question, I've had braces for two, three years-something like that, and it's not all that bad.

The first couple of days are going to be more annoying then painful, in my opinion. Just the fact of not being able to eat pratically anything good for the first three days was enough to kill me.

Take some advil, and you'll be fine. Your face won't be messed up or anything, although it might feel that way for a while.

And that's about it, really. I know it's a lot for such a simple question-But I have a history of teeth problem, so I'm at the dentist all the time getting new things done.
