Drstrangelove You are forgetting that the Final Fanrasy games CAN be bought for the PC and that 11 was based on the Internet( I think. I didn't get to play that one. I was hidden in the depths of my room for 5 months for a REALLY stupid stunt I pulled. No T.V., no phone, no nothing.).

I think the main reason some people say that II is superior is because that is the first Civ game they came in contact with. Therefore, all your good memories of discovery and awe are with that game. Civ 3 was just Civ 2 done in a more complex fashion, and with better graphics. I think, ultimately the additions of culture and strategic resources made the game that much better. I do miss the animated council members though.

Can't really disagree with this list, except for civ 3, number 2 was better. Here's some more to add to the list Bauldars Gate Series WarCraft Series(which was a million times better than Command and Conquer) Return to Zork (sorry I grew up when CD adventure games were the "big" thing) Loom Alpha Centauri Dungeon Keeper Out of this world FlashBack and many more that I can't remember.

Beyond Good & Evil was a great game. Kind of short, though.

Yes, a good series. One fatal flaw though, they're not based on the PC.

First off, you ressurected a year old thread. Don't do that.
Secondly, your a hack. Only online multiplayer games? You fail to recognize the best part of some games, story and depth. Here are some good games which are either solely single player, or have a very strong single player game:
System Shock 2 Deus Ex Fallout Fallout 2 Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind Homeworld Hitman 1&2 Max Payne Tie Fighter Mechwarrior 2 Mercenairies Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura Civilization III Europa Universalis I & II Hearts of Iron Star Control 2 Master of Orion II Sam & Max Hit the Road The Secret of Monkey Island
And those are just a few of them that I can remember off the top of my head. Ask any real gamer and they'll agree.

My favorite series EVER has to be the Legend of Zelda series. I loved Ocaorina of Time and Majora's Mask, so, of course, I' ma big fan of Wind Waker. I also enjoy the classic Mario series, and Metroid, obviously. Right now I really dislike the Grand Theft Auto series. Let's face it, there isn't a way a person could renew the series. It's dead. But hey, I won't keep people from enjoying the games, it's just the way I see it.

I'm a game Fiend. I love them so much. I love RPG's, and Fighting games. I'm addicted to Umm, splinter Cell right now And the SIMS. But my favorite game of all time is Soul Caliber. My friends all think I'm crazy for it. Wondering how a little girl can spend so much time just playing. But anyone that has ever played the SIMS understands my problem.

Played the Diablo series, but wasn't the greatist in my opionion, I saw 2 as lacking that certain umph to it. Sorry man gonna have to disagree with you on the Starcraft thing, again it was a fun game but never really had that special something to it it; guess I liked the story in warcraft series a lot better and not to mention starcraft singleplayer was way to freaking easy, while as the Expansion pack for warcraft 2 was just an epic in difficulty. Also starcraft was way to filled with rushing and eventually the only map that was played on battle.net was the lame infinite money custom maps.

Yea CS is good, Have you played any other HLmods? I played Day Of Defeat (watch for DoD4 in May) for a really long time and Natural Selection really rocks also. You might want to check out FireArms as well. quote: Chrono Trigger is my favorite platform RPG and my favorite Computer RPG is a tie between Morrowind and the Baulders gate series.
Yea, chrono truley did rock. On the computer im more of a Diablo series man. It isnt exaclty a traditional RPG but man does it rock. (I dont have the patience for a game like Baulders ) quote: And of course for RTS's it gotta be the warcraft series; screw Command and Conquer
Come now! We all know that StarCraft blows WarCraft out of the water! Anyone check out StarCraft:Ghost? That looks like it will be awesome as well. Also, World of Warcraft should be right up your alley magnusa! And im sure we are all trembling in our boots for Halo2!!!! halo2!!!!halo2!!!!!

I'm definitely a gamer, My favorite games are either RPG's or RTS games, also some FPS's and in particular counter-strike. I agree with jookley, im def. looking forward to Doom3, but unfortunately the Downed the AI on the creatures, so that might suck. Chrono Trigger is my favorite platform RPG and my favorite Computer RPG is a tie between Morrowind and the Baulders gate series. And of course for RTS's it gotta be the warcraft series; screw Command and Conquer

I am a gamer too. I used to be addicted to alomst every game that came out but now I'm okay.
Oh how I love playing video games, computer games.
Um I'm trying to think of the games I played but I need to list them all on a piece of paper and then type them, I don't want to miss any.
Howver I have no time to do that at the moment so I will try doing it some other day if I don't forget.
Here's one I liked "Resident Evil".
Bye N Have a nice day
