I like the Republicans platform (low taxes, limited government, pro-life, pro-family values), but there is only ONE Congressman with the guts to stand up and live by the platform and Constitution: Ron Paul, a former Libertarian Party presidential candidate ('88).
The Republicans no longer stand for limited government and couldn't care less about the Constitution.
Ever notice how everytime a Republican gets in office, the size of the federal government increases?
Anyway, Libertarians for the most part are my party of choice; granted, many don't want to take a stand on abortion and many advocate gay rights.
But, they've been consistent with their principles for the 30 years they've been a party.
LP candidates run for almost every office imaginable; because of the two-party stranglehold on debates, ballot access and governments in general, it's hard for the LP to really make an impact as the country's main third party.
Forget what you've heard about the Greens; the Green Party wasn't even mentioned before 2000 and Ralph Nader, who claims they are the "largest" third party in America.
Pah.
I could go on and on about this, but I'll stop now.
