I think it's wrong and I think it should abnned which isn't going t happen but make it easier for the gays to be open and to be open celebrites. Most are in the closet because they're afraid.

Heh, I suppose the half-naked chicks could have something to do with it. And as for the bigger issues, I'm not gonna bug her over it. Whenever (if ever) she wants to explain, is fine with me. She knows I'll listen if she wants to tell em.

"""I did spend some time obsessing over what exactly brought the issue of lesbianism to her mind at that particular moment, though.""" ___If you mean at that exact moment what reminded her to tell you, it could have been all the half-naked chicks that were around. But if you mean generally, I think it's best to let her be for a while before you play those cards. She could have known she was attracted to girls for a really long time. It could be a lot of things that made it happen... but the truth of the matter is, it's not worth pressuring her to explain herself to you so soon(or ever).

Hmm, you do have a point there. But what the heck, she's seen me without much on dozens of times since then...I did spend some time obsessing over what exactly brought the issue of lesbianism to her mind at that particular moment, though.

"""couldn't she have waited until we were in the cafeteria""" ___I think that was a classy move of your friend. I personally find the truth to be appealing no matter how horrid it is. Maybe it's because I just can't stand people who lie. But if I were you I'd be glad that I knew while we were partly naked rather than later on where I'd have to fit the pieces together to realize that she took advantage of my ignorance and got the free peep show without my knowing.

quote: its just uncomfortable because you don't know if they...well you know! Think about you. Get what I mean?
Yeah, you know what's really uncomfortable? Being told by your gym partner that she's a lesbian while standing there in your underwear before changing. I mean, it didn't really bother me that much, 'cause she IS my friend, after all, but the circumstances were a bit disturbing. I mean, couldn't she have waited until we were in the cafeteria or something?!

"""its nice to talk to a guy and not worry about you know...*feelings*. """ ___Be quiet about that, if straight guys catch on they'll start pretending they're gay just to catch us while we're vulnerable.
"""its just uncomfortable""" ___So what, lesbians have to be around straight girls who might be thinking about sex with men witch is "so gross"... it even makes them uncomfortable at times(god forbid). As long as they don't touch you or anything, mind your own business and they'll mind their's. You can't dictate who people find attractive, especially if it's all in their mind. You think whatever thoughts you feel like thinking and they'll think whatever thoughts they feel like thinking and nobody gets hurt. Case closed.

Well, I'm a girl and for those of you that have read a lot on YouthNoise, there is a gay guy in one of my classes who is actually pretty cool besides his occasional comparrasins (SP!?!?!?) of himself to Brittney Spears, and I'm ok with him. He's nice, a little awkward, but funny and its nice to talk to a guy and not worry about you know...*feelings*. I think I am pretty uncomfortable around lesbians though. A sophmore in one of my classes is bi and...its just uncomfortable because you don't know if they...well you know! Think about you. Get what I mean?

Not liking someone is quite different from setting thousands of people ablaze. The point still stands, forcing everyone to be open-minded is just as ignorant as making everyone closed-minded.

Just because I think somethigs wrong doesn't mean everyone agrees. whether someones gay or straight they are still people quote: With Liberty and Justice For All
So if you think homophobia and gaybashing is ok (if you do) so then you think Hitler and his hating of Jews and other people was ok? Or is it ok if it's by a civilian to a civilian and not ok when its from a politition to a civilian. Please respond. Have a great day!

Well, if it's alright for people to be homosexual then it should be alright for people to be homophobic. You can't expect society to be open and closed at the same time.

"Man...I sure hate those fa..." "Wait! Were you just going to say something homophobic?" "Uh...yeah." "Well, there's a law about that, you know!" "Oh yeah! I forgot!"
