"$495 to Afghan Refugee Children"

"$10,000 in School Supplies for Afghan Girls"

I found that, and other things along those lines around Youth Noise.

Have you all forgotten about the hungry Americans? Or, the kids here that can't get an education?

Geez...

" NOISEmakers Help End Hunger in the U.S... $687.20 to America's Second Harvest"

"You Just Bought a Playground!... $5,000 will be given to KaBOOM! -- a national nonprofit organization that inspires individuals, organizations and businesses to build safe and accessible playgrounds."

"NOISEmakers Raise Over $3,000 to Stop Violence... we hooked up with the National Campaign Against Youth Violence (NCAYV) to help 15 youth programs, nationwide, designed to prevent youth violence."

"We're sending 10 homeless children to camp! Thanks to all of you NOISEmakers who clicked during the past month. We received 202,043 clicks to donate $10,000 to Scottie's Place (in West Virginia)."

That's four donations to charities that help Americans, and only about two donations to charities that help people in other countries. So I'm not really sure what you're complaining about.

Yeah. It's world debt to us that helps perpetuate their problems and we should give something back. And although America has its poverty, to be fair you are the richest country in the world, you aren't ravaged by war, your population is literate and the vast majority of people have running water and electricity. Compared to other countries, your needs are not as great… I'm sure there must be charities supporting underpriveliged Americans too, but the reason why countries like Afghanistan, Ethiopia, various others are mentioned more is because they've been getting the worst deal, whether it's because of war, debt, famine or any other number of things.

Today my school was raising money for Comic Relief, which helps those fighting poverty or with disabilities in Africa and here in Britain, so it's not like it all goes to other places. There must be charities like that in the US too, and if it bothers you you could try to find one to support.

We are all in this world together. United we have an obligation to tackle the most important issues first. Sure there are hungry americans although their are kids that have AIDS, have lost their parents to AIDS, have no home, dont go to school, eat anything on the ground to survive and have no clothes. Kids like this have it the worst, we should help them first. There is still slave labour, child soldiers, AID sufferers ect. Africa pays westerners 200 Million a month, so they cant fix the problem themselves.
Cheers Steve!
