What is with all of the hatred against country music? I happen to love and live by country music and believe the world would be a happier place if we all lived by the words of John Michael Montgomery: "Life's a Dance, you learn as you go."

as you can see, i'm not much of a country music fan. like musique said, "most of it has gone to the dogs." it used to take some degree of talent to be a professional musician in the country business, but even then, you could go pro if you only had a decent voice and a redneck accent. nowadays, there are famous country singers that don't even have decent singing voices. it makes me sick... i'm not saying all of them suck, but a great deal of them do. shania twain has just about killed her country girl image... she decks herself out in exotic city clothing that makes her look more ridiculous than the idea of country music in the first place. my biggest quaff with country music is just the predictability and repetition voiced in country music. i mean really... do you know of any country song that you couldn't figure out what the next pitch was going to be? i know i haven't. the twang sound also irritates me. like i've said many times on different music forums... jazz is the style for me. that's just me though. if you country lovers enjoy the music you listen to that's cool too. as long as you're enjoyin' it, i say, 'more power to ya.' but i'll stick to jazz, thanks. god bless, Joe Cool

oh right, country music. some is good, some is bad. a lot of it nowadays has gone to the dogs and includes no talent when it comes to song writing, actually playing your own instruments, and singing. i appreciate those that actually DO have talent, though. the new dixie chicks release rocks, they've went back to the roots of country. (bluegrass)

Heh, I hate most country music, but I do occasionally like to sit back with an intoxicant of some sort and listen to Johnny Cash or the Charlie Daniels Band. "Early one morning while making my rounds, I took a shot of cocaine and I shot my woman down"
