Mine is : Life as We Knew It, a novel by Susan Beth Pfeffer. The moon gets hit closer to the earth by a astroid and screws up the climate on earth.
It could be worse.

FreeChange- is that fiction or nonfiction? Sounds interesting. Kharybdis- a cyberpunk anthology? Awesome; I need to make a new reading list. I finally finished "In Defense of Food," which I've been halfheartedly reading for a month now. It's really interesting and well-researched, but I've been slacking on my reading lately. I just joined a book club and we're doing Malcolm Gladwell's "Blink" next. I also need a good novel- any other suggestions?

I just finished reading Smoke and Mirrors, a short story anthology by Neil Gaiman, Ribofunk, an anthology of fiction kinda like cyberpunk but more focused on biotech and nanotech, and Mirrorshades, which is probably the first cyberpunk anthology ever. Apparently I've had a short attention span this week.

I have currently read "Anahita's Woven Riddle" and "The Girl with no Shadow". I have to admit though, sometimes "The Girl with no Shadow" made me drool a little because of some of the descriptions about food.

This summer, I've read all three of Malcolm Gladwell's books (Tipping Point, Blink and Outliers) and I am in the process of reading Stiff: the curious life of human cadavers. Pretty interesting stuff...give it a couple weeks and my days of reading for pleasure are gone.

I just got the book To Reign In Hell by Steven Brust from Amazon. It was amazing. It's about the rebellion in Heaven when Satan was cast out but from Satan's view. It's incredibly well-written, had a modern flair without being anachronistic, obviously carefully researched, and altogether incredibly witty.

Normally I like to avoid popular books (because popularity usually means it sucks) but I'm reading Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrel by Susanna Clarke right now and it's actually kinda good so far. Next shall be Dark is the Sun by Philip Jose Farmer.

I just read the first book in the Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel series, the Alchemyst. It's a really good fantasy book but set in the present day. I haven't yet read the second book, the Magician but I definitely plan to. I would highly recommend these titles.
