The song I heard on the radio today makes me want to tear my ****ing hair out. It's the only one I've heard, so I don't know if any of their other stuff is as bad.

Jet is part of that garage rock movment. While not really original, they're still different (and better in my opinion) than all of the pop out there.

And people with minimal exposure to older rock and whatnot, ie. people who watch MTV, find bands like Jet new and refreshing. Odd, but probably true.

See, I disagree. Linkin Park and Evanescence, for the majority of thier work, make reletively shallow songs. It's just not good music. I'm sure you'll disagree, but I will never, ever, spend money or time to listen to these bands.

First off a band plays instruments. D12 dont play instruments so they r not a band. The Darkness is also a great band. You know who else is great Jet. Do you lnow why they are good, because they are different from everyone else. Sometimes you get tired of listening to Simple Plan, Blink 182, and all those modern day punk rock, pop bands. Thay are new and we need new music out there. Also just because a band is getting hype doesn't mean they suck. Now Britney Spears gets way too much hype and she sucks.
