Today I saw a giant in a divorce therapy class required for the kids of by parents in my state trying to get a divorce. He was a sophomore, but he was 260 lbs. He wasn't fat at all.


Also, in Norse mythology, giants were another race of beings, just like humans, elves, dwarves, dark elves, the aesir (one race of gods) and the vanir (a different race of gods). They weren't magic, they were just another race that happened to be more powerful than the humans were (they still HAD magic, but then so did some humans). However, they stayed in their own lands, attacking the humans or the aesir or vanir every now and then. It's cool like that, I could see the Norse myths (like giants, elves, dwarves) being a folklore version of actual human subspecies that died out long ago.

comradsumrf, are you claiming we evolved from Giants? That is a far stretch from the allready ludicrious stretch that we are decendents of apes.

Yes the mysterious ?Mike Treiss? (?Pastor Mike Triess?) strikes again. I think marine has a good point about gullivers travels, but I think that "Alice in Wonderland" had a good portrayal of giants as well.

I visited the link and was bored to death. It was almost impossible to follow. Perhaps it would have been more appropriate and entertaining to provide a link to Gullivers Travels. I think that deals with giants and would be more fitting.
