I had that horribly last time I got a sinus infection. I was up all night hacking. I just waited it out, it cleared up after a few days for me. Maybe you should see if you have an infection, you might need to go on antibiotics.

Ah, thanks.

Yeah, everyone gets it with a cold or a cough, but a lot of people get it almost chronically. Then it's a condition.

Some people try Benedryl because PND is mostly an allergic reaction. (It's usually accompanied with one of those annoying all-night cough-fests.) A humidifier at night, or Robitussin DM stops the cough. Some try this weird salt water solution and they spray it up one nostril and then it comes out the other with all the crazy crap up there. You use 1/2 teaspoon salt and eight ounces of water and a baby aspirator (which I think you can get at drug stores.) You can do this three times a day for five days a week. It'll be gross and uncomfortable, but it'll get easier. It definitely seems like you have allergies if it's gone on long enough. Also, avoid spicy foods 'cause it irritates nasal passages, and avoid dairy because it creates more mucuous. Hope that helped! And if all else fails, try and see a doctor. Feel better. Oh! And drink more fluids and don't overuse antihistamines or decongestants. Use one or the other correctly. Decongestants are better.
