Gemini, I am glad that you quote people. I will get the Harry Potter book but not right away. I usually wait until the hype goes down and the books are not all sold out. I have to admit that the first two books were really boring but the 3rd and 4th were well written. I just wonder how long the fourth movie will be. With the 4th book being 735 pages long. I have heard that the 5th book is even longer. I was just wondering if that was true.

Umm, yeah...big typo. Sorry, Gemini. I knew you were female, but I write "he" and "his" so often in some of my other posts that I instinctively wrote it down here as well. My fault, and I apologize again.
"All right, all right, I apologize, I’m really, really sorry, I apologize unreservedly. I offer a complete and utter retraction. The imputation was totally without basis in fact and was in no way fair comment. And I deeply regret any distress that my comments may have caused you or your family, and I hereby undertake not to repeat any such slander at anytime in the future." -Monty Python's Flying Circus

Me neither; of course he has differing views concerning religion, but that doesn't cause me to have anything against him. Everyone has their own beliefs, I'm fine with that. Hey Gemini, I have read From the Corner of His Eye by Dean Koontz. I must say it's very good. By the way, the book I was talking about earlier is called, What Do Mormons Really Believe?: What the Ads Don't Tell You by John Ankerberg and John Welden.

Thanks Bex and jayb. I'll make sure to check them out on my next visit to the library. quote: If you like stuff about murderers, have you read The Rag and Bone Shop by Robert Cormier?
I'll look for that one, as well. Have you ever read From the Corner of His Eye by Dean Koontz? It's my favorite novel; it’s very, very morbid, but it's hard to put the book down quote: Actually if anyone is looking for a book on just about any subject I will probably know something good
Actually, do you know of any good gardening books? I don't mean to sound strange, but I have no talent whatsoever with making plants grow/live. It'd be nice to have flowers in the springtime If you don't know of any, that's fine too. But I figured I could ask. quote: I don't see what so many people have against Gemini
Most people don't like my "attitude," even though it's a bit difficult to detect my sarcasm via the internet. But my religious views usually offend people. I bet I get more hate-mail from other members here than anyone else. Kind of makes me feel proud in a way But I think it’s my cynicism that sticks out like a sore thumb.. that and me quoting people. I just find it easier to stay on track with the debate.

They're called 'Prisoner of Azkaban' and 'Goblet of Fire' (with 'Harry Potter and the' in front like with all of 'em). I hope you like them but I'm aware Harry Potter isn't for everyone! If you like stuff about murderers, have you read The Rag and Bone Shop by Robert Cormier? That's a great book, you keep thinking and thinking about it for ages afterwards. The only frustrating thing is it isn't long enough! Actually if anyone is looking for a book on just about any subject I will probably know something good. Geeky and proud… What are you getting on your high horse about, pup? I like it when people quote and respond, it's more like a proper debate, point by point. I don't see what so many people have against Gemini. I think she's pretty cool. Bex

But anyways, the 3rd and 4th books are Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban and Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. They are really good, especially the 3rd(my fave). Of course we have parties over these books. I mean, can you name a more perfect way to get your book. They're usually very fun. Down here at Barnes and Noble, we're having a blowout. My friends are pretending to characters from the book. I'm Angelina! Well anyways, I'll check ya later! Peace!

Sorry, pup. It's easier to follow what I'm responding to. I apologize if it annoys you. Just try and stop reading my posts, then.

Bex, I might get the third or fourth book from the library. What are they called? It's worth a try reading them, but they seriously seem so simple. quote: Oh well, read what you please. By the way, what types of books DO you read then?
I read books about religion, animals (e.g. taking care of them), gardening (still trying to get those flowers to start growing, and it's been.. four weeks? ), and novels about death, murders, psychotic/deranged individuals, and anything that's morbid. And you have parties over a book?

Gemini, I'm with you. That book was way to simple in plot to get my attention. It's basically a book with a plot that could take up 100 pages being extended to one which takes up 300. Anyway, thats what I think on it, most people here seem to like it.

Gemini: The plots get more and more complicated as you get further through the series (books one and two are relatively simple, but three and four start to get a lot darker and much more complex), and while I thought the first movie was total cr*p, I do like the books. They are a real achievement in childrens' literature, although the hype irritates me somewhat. I think it's worth trying the other books before dismissing the whole series, but read what you like!
