I would support her, having a baby as a teen is one of the most difficult things to do. raising the baby herself she might miss out on other things in her life and hold a grudge against the baby, but then putting it up for adoption will leave her wondering for the rest of her life what it would be like to have her child(same for abortion), but then abortion you could be killing the person who'll find the cure of cancer

-what do you think the government should do about abortion? Let it be the woman's choice

I used to be anti-abortion, but changed my views recently. Having a baby is a huge responsibility, the girl loses her freedom and life, it is mentally and physically straining. I'm pro-choice, it just depends on the situation. The main thing is use protection, more than one would help. Use a condom with spermicide in it so if it does leak the sperm is dead anyway. Or just don't have sex.

this is my second reply about abortion. You know, i dont mean to argue but well, abortion is inside out, upside down evil and wrong. What if your mom didnt want you? Then there wouldnt be you right? Abortion is not a question of moral or personal as it is a LIFE you are carrying inside you. People who are uneducated may result to have abortion but as for us, teens who are educated, well, we should be smart enough that if you do not want to get pregnant, why have sex at all? and if you say that as a teenager, it is impossible to care for a child, then why do such a risk and have unprotected sex and then later, they will get pregnant and have abortion. Having a baby and putting it for abortion is no excuse for you to kill the fetus inside. You are just like killing someone who has then right to live in this world. Also, doing this is no excuse because it is the mother's fault and wrongdoing why she chose to have unprotected sex (except to those who were raped) Its like when you have abortion, its like, you have no conscience at all whatsoever. Can you really live with that? I think that people who are not educated like us is ok for them coz they do not know what is right or wrong.
All i know is that people who support abortion, have no sense of responsibilty and they do not care about babies. They only think of themselves. You know, a human being who truly cares fcor someone is to lay one's own life at risk for the sake of the other. So, what if the baby will be born handicapped or something? Does that mean he or she should just be killed because of that? That is so lame and cruel and very unjust. People should know what they are talking about before they start to stand up for what they think is right or wrong.....

I would still support her. My reaction would be of a positive attitude, supporting her in whatever she decides to do.

I am pro-choice. America is (supposedly) a free country and I think this is one of those freedoms of choice that all women should have. I personally don't agree with the concept of abortion and I don't think I'd ever go through with it myself. But I think that there are some circumstances where abortion is acceptable and I think that it's none of my business what other women choose to do. It's their choice and no one should judge their decision because they could have a very good reason behind it.

I think it's all three. It's personal to a woman because that's her baby, that's another human being growing inside of her and, for whatever reason, she may have to make a decision between abortion or not. It's a religious issue if you're a Christian because you're (A) not supposed to have premarital sex and (B) that's mainly because the purpose of sex is to pro-create. So if you're a Christian and you have premarital sex and end up pregnant, it's a religious decision on whether or not to abort the child. It's also a moral issue because, from the anti-abortionist's perspective, abortion is death to a child. So I guess it can be considered to be a moral question of, "Should I let this child die because I can't handle it or should I keep the child?"

I would put it up for adoption. I, personally, cannot see myself having an abortion unless they were very specific circumstances where I felt like there was no other choice. I just can't see myself doing that. So I think I would put it up for adoption.

If, by the rape, I'd gotten an STD then I think I might abort the child. But I'm not even sure about that. I think I still stand on my previous response that I would put the child up for adoption.

I would support her in whatever decision she felt she had to make. I would probably try to persuade her to not abort the child (if she really didn't want it, I want to adopt children and I could adopt hers) but if she truly felt like that was the path to take, then I would support her. I would probably be shocked (mostly because all of my friends are waiting until marriage to have sex like me) but I'm always calm in stormy weather, so to speak, so I would try to give her advice and help her through this and help her decide what to do.

Same response, though I would definitely make sure she'd had a rape kit done on her right after the event so that she'd have all the facts before making a decision.

I would still support her, though I would be shocked and I wouldn't agree with her decision since I wouldn't do it. But just because I don't agree with a decision doesn't mean I won't support a friend/family member in need.

I think it's none of the government's damn business. These are women and their children's lives. This is their own decision for themselves and the government should have no part in it other than to legalize it.

It's a personal issue. Having a child is a life-changing decision. No one besides the mother should have the right to make such a huge choice.

I've never been in that situation, so I haven't thought about it a lot. I would say it definitely depends on the situation - if there was a guarantee that the child could be adopted by a decent family, then of course I would not have an abortion. But since life is not always so simple, I can't rule out an abortion. I guess, in the end, I would have to decide if the child would have a life worth living.

This situation makes me lean more towards an abortion. If I was raped, I would know early on that I wouldn't want the child, so an abortion could be a simpler answer.

I would support her mainly because it's her decision. Anyone who has an abortion must have weighed the options and picked which choice she thought was right.

I am personaly for abortion. For one, if the baby is going to be born with a mojor illness that will end in death, why put the pressure one the family and child by delivering it? Other concerns are the mothers health. Also, rape, and incest should not have to result in a pregnancy. If abortion was illegal, then many people would once again turn to back-alley abortion wich shouldn't, and isn't nessecary.

If it's a teenager, then it's really hard to say. I know people like myself, it would be physically impossible for me to carry a fetus in my stomach for 9 months, because I'm too small- In result I would dye delivering the baby. That should be a huge concideration. And also, I meen-teenagers are going to screw up. You hope they don't do something that stupid but it's going to happen-And at that point, they should be given the choice of abortion.
