Welcome, welcome, to another year at Hogwarts! Hello, fellow Potterhead, Potterites, Jo Obsessives, etc. This is a place to discuss the books and the movies. Discussing does not include "OMG Dan is sooooooo fine!" That's what sites like DanRadcliffe.com are for. FIRST TOPIC: Why are you excited for GoF? What are you doing in preparation for or celebration of? And (after the movie) how did you like it? Canon? OOC? (Any random book-discussions are beyond welcome.) So, obsess your heart out, though I'd like to request that no one go on a major rant about the movie until the 19th, primarily because I will have seen it by then. (Not that I haven't read all the stuff on MuggleNet and Leaky Cauldron or anything. . .) Um, yeah, spoilers, so if you haven't read up to HBP, don't read. RIP- "Nitwit, Blubber, Oddment, Tweak!"

Yeah, I agree, but I still like it better than the others. Cuaron was good for his artsy awesomeness, but I liked Newell's adaption. They could have made it longer. It's not like people wouldn't go to see it. Nearly the same crowd would be waiting outside a 3.5 hour Potter movie as outside the LOTR movies.

So I FINALLY saw it last night at 9:55pm. I thought it was pretty good, I just didn't like how fast it went. It was like they had to cram so much stuff into the plot, they didn't have time for buildup. The basically jumped from the dream to the World Cup to The Tournament, with nothing in between. Other than that, I thought it was entertaining enough, and I definately would go see it again.

By the way GL just joking with the pineapple visitation think the curtsie bit was funny though. I just hate it when people don't post as often as I do on there and as to singing in DQ must have drawn some intresting looks from other patrons eh?

I wasn't paying attention at first, and then my friend pointed it out, so we sang it in DQ.

They sang the school song! Did you notice that? It made me so happy because they left it completely out of the first movies, and then in this one you could hear it being sung in the background.

Absolutely smashing, really. They left out quite a bit (okay, all) of the backstory.

I want to see it just to say I did. GL start posting on the Holy Pineapple thread more often!

I've seen it. Brilliant! There were a few things I was a bit peeved about, but what can I say, its Hollywood. I found it a bit fragmented and rushed, but you can't honestly fit too much in a 2:34 movie. I liked the Hermione/Ron foreshadowing. Characterisation? Casting? How did you feel? I thought Hermione was a lot more Hermione like. Grint has definately approved. What about Gambin as Dumbledore?! I'm still undecided on the whole gruff Dumbledore thing.

I loved it. I really did. It's my favorite of the series so far, I think. Even with all the stuff they left out, it was still great. I'll post more after Green has seen it.

I have to wait for four more hours. Our theatre didn't have a midnight show because we're a puny town. The guy thought that since it'll be playing for six weeks that there's no need for a midnight showing. Well, Star Wars got a midnight showing. He probably doesn't like HP. *tear* I even have my semi-fanatic friend super excited. The one that looks how I thought Harry should look. Its creepy.

Just got back! OMG. Will type more when I'm slightly saner and less sleep-deprived.
