Today is the day where we celebrate our nation's independence. On this day in 1776, the Declaration of Independence ("When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of nature and of Nature's God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation...") was adopted and for most intents and purposes, our nation was born. YN is an international organization in theory, however the large majority of its members are Americans. YN fails year after year to recognize any political holidays, be it Memorial Day, Independence Day, Flag Day, etc....which leads me to my question of the day:

I must admit that them not recognizing Memorial Day does make me...sad.
