My gym class had to use little machines to test our pulse. None of them would work on me. So my teacher took my pulse and it was 120 (normal is 60). She said that my pulse was too high for the machines. She said I need to lower my stress. How do I do that? I mean, I have too much to do to forget about it all! People at school come to me to settle fights, I have the WORST teachers for homework, I'm taking driver's ed., which gives out TONS of homework, and I have my job.
Do any of you know quick ways to lower stress that I can fit into my schedule?

I have a hole in my ear drum, as well as a heart murmur. I found this out today, of course, at the doctor. And I have a viral infection and/or allergies, as well as some identified illness. I blame it on stress. Actually, I don't care enough about things to stress over them. Finally, apathy prevails! Heh.

God, shut up... this isn't exactly rocket-science. And a pulse rate doesn't always mean you have too much stress. It could just be your body.
I have school and the work that comes with, as well as the hassles of preparing for college. Things happen at home too. Do you know what my stress has done? The inside of my mouth is covered with sores and it's painful as hell, my nose keeps bleeding, and my skin has developed rashes. I have an abnormally slow pulse rate.

Take out the job?! What about money for my car? Gas? Insurance?

Normal heartrate is 60-100. Lower is better, but it's not like you're dying or anything. You just might not be in shape. Try exercise or eating healthier, but I guess to have time to do that you'll still need to quit another activity.
meditate. "all the benefits of sleep in a fraction of the time"..from ALIAS. I'm not sure what kind of meditation she was doing though when she said that.
by the way, forgive me if I'm not making sense, because I'm really tired, and not in the best mood, but I can't sleep.

Take out the job. You really don't need a job as a young teen. Tell people to figure out their own problems... (unless they're really important) you shouldn't have to figure out every signal problem that isn't yours. Not trying to sound rude, but being the 'rock' isn't stress free. You can also write down all of your stress and anger in a journal, or do something you love. That helps me. -Sunset
