Does it bug anyone else that ipods cost so much and then new ones come out every year. I mean I worked my but off to get one and then just this month two new ones come out. I mean dont' get me wrong they are cool, but now I'm not satisfied with mine because there are better ones out there for almost the same price. What do you think?

Bella is right. Sometime improvemnet is too much. My dad wants to put all kinds of survival stuff on his keychain "just in case", but now his left pocket bluges out about six inches. Granted, that means that if our car breaks down in the middle of some cornfield someday, we can cook the corn using his super strong flashlight, but all those accesories don't really do anything when you aren't in that sort of situation, and just makes things impossible to find. So, all that was written just to tell you that accesories in excess can be reaaly bad things anywhere, especially when all you want to do is find a song.

That happens with everything. Like if you buy an Xboc 360, they'll probably come out with something better next year. Apple doesn't care about your feelings; they want to make money. That's life. Get used to it. I have an mp3 player that does pretty much the exact same thing as an Ipod and costed about $100 less than one. (It plays music, can record, plays videos, has games, has radio, can download pictures onto it, etc.). I've had it for a year and even though there are "new and improved" Ipods, I'm extremely satisfied with it. I think it's the lack of advertising from other iPod companies that makes Apple so rich. One of my friends was talking about getting an iPod, and I told her she should get one like mine because it's cheaper and does the same thing, and she didn't even know that other mp3 player companies existed. =| But um.. that's kinda off topic, but yeah... It doesn't really matter to Apple that it upsets you that they keep coming out with new stuff. Be grateful that you have something at all. quote: I'm thinking about finally caving in and selling my soul and getting one

To steal a line from Weird Al Yankovic's "It's All About the Pentiums" (a parody of Puff Daddy's "It's All About the Benjamins"): quote: You say you've had your desktop for over a week? Throw that junk away, man, it's an antique!
In this wonderful age of technology, there's always gonna be something much better on the market tomorrow. And when it comes out, what you just bought will be probably fall to half the price you paid for it. Careful research before you buy can sometimes soften the blow a bit. But it does seem to be especially flagrant with iPods. I'm thinking about finally caving in and selling my soul and getting one (my CDs keep getting scratches and the idea of having all my music locked up in a protective shell sounds more and more enticing), and I've been doing a little research on the Net, and holy crap they've made a lot of versions. If anyone out there has any recommendations as to which version is the best deal, I'd love to hear it. I need something with at least 15 or so gigs, and, of course, the cheaper the better. Some basic video capabilities would be nice, but beyond that I don't care much about special features.
And then, as the books were told, Fina replied: "A can of worms, my dear friend? What has this to do with reason?"

If you aren't satisfied with what you have then you still need to learn a lesson in temperance. I have an old iPod that is several years old, and I am grateful for it. I don't want the best thing out, it's a waste of money when you already have a perfectly functioning piece of technology. The worst part is the iPod isn't even the best mp3 player out there, I just use it because of the integration with iTunes, which I use for all my music management.
I like these calm little moments before the storm.
