I'm not asking for the whole freakin' site to go Socrates on me, but, to make a loose connection to the chess conversation, why not have the dividers that seperate certain topics from the rest. In other words, keep inane threads like the mullet crap in Randomosity and leave the debate for their designated forums.

It could just be that the moderating here blows so much that they feel Mullets are a truly significant issue facing the world and have decided to keep it in that forum on that basis of thought. OR it could be that this entire site is a fecal bomb, waiting to explode. I have no freakin' clue. But I joined on the presumption that somewhere among this sewage, there was some meaningful debate.

So, allow me to entertain the easily-amused goatcheese and put myself to flight.

Maybe we should make a thread strictly for intelligent conversation. Like, pick a topic every day and just talk about what we think about it.
