Fulfilling Duty The Messenger of Allah (P) had said "Whoever of you views unjust act, he must change it with his hand, if could not with his tongue, and if could not with his heart and that is the weakest faith." His glory Allah has said in his holy book "Invite to the way of your Lord with wisdom and good advice and argue them in the best way."
If you were an employee in one of the business or service establishments, seen one of your colleagues or any other person, with his right been violated and robed-off of his humanity, and insulted in way not acceptable to an inferior lion?! You are sure of his rightness, and have no suspicion, or confusion! What are you going to do toward this matter?! Are you going to do your legitimate role?! Will you do your humanitarian duty?!
Will you do the duty of directing toward positive morals and prevention of negative ones?! Or you will chicken out and run away, apologizing with various excuses that are not acceptable to your conscience and mind?! Or you will fear for your position, or salary?! This is not of concern to you, does not have anything to you, and it is not your personal affairs?! So you will run away like vulnerable animals running away from each other, when they are been attacked by a predator monster, can not defend themselves due to illness or disability, and swallowed without resistance and defense.
What is your counter action, or what you are going to do if you are a senior official, in a very large impressive position, with a fleshy salary you did not dream of all your life?! You were asked to do that task, rob that poor guy of his rights, and cut him off his living! Do you forget that cutting throats of lesser destruction than cutting the livelihoods?! Beside that you know for sure that he was unjustly treated and deprived from his right, but that were orders could not be discussed, and could not be overruled?! Do you become coward again, fearing for all these facilities, and participate in the sin, without having a stands or stating a word of justice in the presence of unfair ruler?! And be like a fox that pull the victim to the mouth of the predator to eat it, either in fear or flattering?!
Al-Hussein (p) was in that position one day, when he saw the unfairness of the Umayyad and their haughtiness. He had seen them assaulting the chastity of Allah almighty, and the chastity of the people, without religious or humane deterrent. Then he had risen to do his religious duty, calling for the good morals and preventing the evil, and had called to the cause of Allah with wisdom and good advice. So he was advising and guiding, directing and criticizing.
The Umayyad authority did not like that, and was not satisfied with mere extending advice and criticism! They were asking more from him, they were asking his surrender and approval to their orders! They had asked him to pledge to the Umayyad caliph as a commander of the Muslims! But Hussein (P) was not a normal person like the rest of the people. He was not just a passing number, dose not mater wither he accepts or not!
Hussein (P) was a distinguished personality, has its weight in the society those days. He was a great religious and social figure can not be under estimated. In those days he was regarded as one of the heads of the sons of Hashim, pointing to by the fingers, in addition to being the only live grandson of the messenger of Allah (P). He was respected and dignified by all Muslims. His mere approval to the Al-Bay`ah, means he is agreeing to the Umayyad shameful behavior. His mere pledge simply means dragging the rest of the Muslims, to accept them and pledge to them.
Hussein (P) was not a coward, so he did not appeasement before the injustice and tyranny. The Umayyad regime upgraded their campaign against him, tracking him, and issued orders to kill him even if he is attached to the Kaaba curtains. He had been followed from the city of his grandfather to Mecca. But that did not stop him, nor prevent him from doing his religious and humanitarian duty. Therefore there was nothing before him other than military confrontation, and the shedding his blood for the sake of that goal!
Can you be a Hussini, and say the righteous word, without fear and without hesitation?! So you can save the right of a weak man, who does not find anyone to support him other than Allah, and save yourself from conscience admonish the rest of your life?! Or will by a coward and say: "Hussain is a Sultan, Yaseid is another Sultan, and no use to interfere between the sultans"?!
