well since were putting such honorable human beings, we cant forget Ted Bundy. The man killed so many people, and put thousands of others in danger, he truly is a hero! My Lord people..

**and I have already put my hero down in another board, so I dont feel like retyping it and getting my head ripped off for actually having the most perfect being as my hero..

My hero is my identical twin Sierra. She's such a strong person and so sure of herself. While I struggled with self-image issues and I kinda got around for awhile and did some drugs and got wrapped up in drinking and the "rich *****" lifestyle of Bev Hills...I was definately ****ed up for awhile. However, she stuck with me through it all...she never left me alone...never let me fall deeper. I love her so much and as sad as it sounds I wish I could be more like her...

One boy, one girl. Two hearts beatin wildly. To put it mildly it was love at first sight. He smiled, she smiled, they knew right away. These were the days they'd been waitin for all their lives. For a moment the whole world, revolved around one boy and one girl.

My heros and role modles are
God, for always being there for me and for loving me always, no matter what.
The saints, for helping me out of trouble, and for being the best role models a person could have.
Mother Teresa, the coolest catholic nun I know!
John Paul 11, we would be lost without him.

What if my parents are dishonest and greedy (while still being decent and caring folks) but my "celeb" heroes are decent folk (as in they're not really celebs...more people than celeb)?

Don't get me wrong, I do love my parents. But they're not role models for me. I don't want to be just like then when I grow up.

Mr. Rodgers for being a decorated Navy seal with 25 confirmed kills. He wore the dumb sweaters to cover up his tattoos. Cool

Hey, I can't make this stuff up, but he's not my hero I just like to shock people every once in awhile. Big Grin Wink Razz

he was murdered for being a punk. the boy who murdered him was a prep who was well liked (of course, he's a prep) so his punishment wasn't as severe as it should have been. so basically Brian's death went unavenged.

I and all my friends keep him in our memory as an example of what we fight for. to encourage tolerance and respect for different lifestyles, to discourage violence when we can, to see that justice is done without baseball bats, and to see that murderers that deserve to rot in a jail cell, stay in a jail cell.

Pat Tillman. If youve never heard of him, well i feel sorry for you. he should be an inspiration to everyone out there. he was a pro NFL player who was about to sign a big contract with the Arizona Cardinals (yeah i know, what a team Confused) but instead he opted to join the Army Rangers and try to make a difference in this country, and sad to say he lost his life defending the country. im so sick of these pro athletes getting paid millions why the average hard working american gets paid nickel and dime wages. he is a true inspiration

To Nicoley: Kurt Cobain symbolizes those who hated the way the media wanted to potray everyone in the business (as these rich, nicely dressed celebrities) and those who just wanted to play music and be themselves. He didn't create the music because he wanted money (yeah, he wanted money but that wasn't the main nor only reason he did it) but because he genuinely loved music. Many people who consider him a hero see him as a symbol of what much of the music biz has lost now a days---the genuine love for music.

In fact, at least three of the four of screaminginfidelties's musical heroes would represent the same qualities.

Question to everyone else: Why do you consider your parents your heroes? I just never have. Yes, I love them but I call a hero someone I would either like to be like or I think did something cool/interesting/original. My parents are neither so I don't consider them my heroes.

I hate to seclude you like this, and anyone can feel free to answer, but what do you see in Kurt Cobain? I must be missing something, because I just thought of him as some guy who could barely play guitar, and then killed himself.

I wouldn't say that I have heros, but there are people that I admire.

Voltaire- Great sense of humor for an old dead dude, wrote some shiz-awesome stuff, fought intolerance and got banned from Paris.

Charles Darwin- Great naturalist and his ideas were pretty radical for his time.

Galileo- Another radical scientist and he suffered for it.

more people who I don't feel like adding descriptions for-

Richard Feynman
Stephen Hawking
Beakman (from Beakman's world...whatever happened to him?)
Gandi
Martin Luther King
the dude who gave King some of his ideas and got booted from the civil rights movement cause he was gay...totally nonsensical

My heroes:

1. God---because He is the one who inspires me to do what is righteous.
2. My parents----they raised me and love and cared for me
3. Pope John Paul II---he is a symbol of hope, love and peace and righteousness
4. my saint, St. Sebastian--he is one of the martyrs who died for the sake of righteousness and it happens that it falls on my birthday
5. James---my one true love who understands me deeply and loves me
6. Oprah----a woman of a caring and wonderful nature.
7. my 2 sisters---they are part of my own flesh and blood and they are fun!
8. The Corrs---they have the most interesting songs and each of them can play an instrument
9. Cat Stevens--a singer who sings and writes about the deep issues about life.
10. Jose Rizal (National hero of the Philippines)---he isn't afraid to write a book exposing all the things that have been done to the Filipinos during the Sapnish regime.

My heros will remane nameless, but they know how I feel about them anyway. My heros have always been and always will be my friends, I can't say that I have very many, but the ones I choose to keep are the ones I would die for. They are always there for me when I need them and they just make me feel better when I am around them. I'm just glad that I know enough to treasure them for what they are, my miracles in life.

Two teachers who shall remain nameless are who I pick as my heroes. They have helped me grow as a person and they've taught me how to laugh at myself and not be so uptight all the time. Also, they have taught me to respect the guys that come into my life who aren't scumbags and just want to be there for me as my friend like they say.

I have not yet reached my goal, and I am not perfect. But Christ has taken hold of me. So I keep on running and struggling to take hold of the prize. My friends, I don't feel that I have already arrived. But I forget what is behind, and I struggle for wha
