Today, during eight period, my friend turned to me and warned me not to go near teh train station. Apparently, [let's call it school D] was skipping eight and seventh and coming here to beat the shit out of us with guns and knives.
Obviously, I'm scared. My only way home is the train station. So I walk ten extra blocks and get on the train station further away. Guess what? On my train, there's a group of about 30 giant School D boys. As they get off at the 'war zone' train station they scream "We're gonna kick ****ing white ass!".
Later today I sit on AIM and gather info. It seems our year president has started a rivalry with School D. Great. Just dandy. I already know Andrei, from my class, was chased but got away, and a girl in 711 got beat up. Bad. But why? I hate this. I'm scared.

My mom [dad's in Russia] already knows. She's thinking of hiring a taxi to drive me to and from school next week. The kids settle down and wait until next year to have problems/issues. I hope.

I've never heard of that. Wow. I mean, we had school rivalry, but it never crossed the line into physical violence. Do you think this might be because of the difference in the country? Like, east coast/west coast?

So I talked to someone I know from NY, because I'm not familiar with your area. And he said the around the same thing as Cap posted below.

He said this "I would tell her to either tell someone at school, tell her parent to pick her up from school or ride the train with someone she knows."

And he says that you have to tell someone no matter what. I suggest, your parents? I mean, I know that they say that "snitches get stitches" but this is guns and knives we are talking about. Someones life could be lost.

But the thing is, this has happened twice before. School D, attacking either our school, St. -INSERT-, or School M.
And I never expected guns and knives.
Anyway... I would never fight.
And the authorities are already mixed in. It's just that the asses are never there on time. They're always on watch on teh good days, and on the rare bad days they're late. Like today.
And only one person lives in my direction. Maybe she would drive me for Monday, while things settle down.

Hey, I know what you're going through. There is no easy answer. You could tell authorities, but then you're considered a snitch and people don't really like snitches. You could fight, but there's a good chance of getting hurt or killed, considering you say they're fighting with guns and knives. My advice would be to avoid them as best possible. Is there a way you could get a ride home from school with somebody? And if that doesn't work, tell authorities.
