Why is addition to the bible a sin? Where does it say this?

Mishie, just pray to God - that's the only Godyou have to pray to.

Any other prayer to any other thing or "god" is a sin according to the True Bible.

And any addition or subtraction to the Old/New Testaments (The Bible) is also a Sin.

Jesus Christ, or God, is the ONLY God.

"Thou shall not have any other gods before me." Exodus 20:3

You forget that Catholic Bibles are a little dif. from other peeps Bibles ours are a little bigger (i think) So is praying to Saints a gigantic sin also? what about angels?do you believe in angels? what about getting a patron saint during confirmation?

I think its odd that I know about other religions and my own, but i know nothing about all the other Christian religions like Lutherans and Methodists and Protestants ect...

anywho im just sorta curious about that.

Okay, I'm going to go in order and highlight one very important fact about presidential elections;

First off, the people of the United States have never, ever elected a president.

It's a very complicated story to get into, but people are being deceived if they actually think they're the ones who have any say-so at all in electing the president (which is why a Libertarian or independent would never get elected).

Secondly, Mishie, the Catholics' praying to Mary is only one of the biggest sins of all: worshipping idols or other gods.

Mary is not a god. Mary was simply the woman Jesus Christ, our True God, was born from.

Mary is important, yes, but Catholics have this twisted view of believing its okay to worship and to pray to her.

Remember, prayer is talking to God.

Prayer to anyone or anything else is talking to other gods.

This is my answer based on the Bible - I'm not sure where Catholics get their views from, but it's not from the Bible.

Yes, I think we should all pray for the deadliest terrorist of all - George W Bush.

...and then we should pray that the American people will elect someone not so consumed with winning this international pi$$ing contest...

You cannot be a true Christian while at the same time "hating" terrorists.

You cannot be a true Christian while at the saem time "hating" homosexuals.

True Christians pray for their fellow brethren, whether they be black, white, brown, gay, atheist, etc.

If Christians hated everyone that wasn't a Christian, then how would we be able to lead those same people to salvation?

However, this does not mean you should COMPROMISE your beliefs for what the politically correct call "tolerance."

True Christians shouldn't tolerate Catholics praying to Mary.

True Christians shouldn't tolerate homosexual marriage or homosexual lifestyles.

Rather, we must pray for their sins to be brought up and be taken away.

"Les us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man." - Eccl. 12:13

"...and to the testimony: If they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them." - Isaiah 9:20

I believe that even though someone has done something bad to you that doesn't mean you should go kill them it's not right. If you pray for them then that may change the situation.

actually...the majoirty of terrorists follow a different god. So the christian god probably wouldn't pray for them.
