Last school year was the first year that SBT enrolled freshmen and sophomores. At first we didn’t have a permanent location. Luckily St. Mary’s let us use one of their buildings and the administration was able to rent office space. During winter break our school was finally moved into its own permanent location. All was fine until we had a very unfortunate event, the roofers for the connecting building left our bare roof without covering over the weekend and it rained. Our school was flooded and the books, carpet, walls, computers, furniture and more were destroyed. The walls and carpet were repaired and restored, but not everything is the best quality and we still suffer from a shortage of books.
This year we have lost three teachers because of our financial deficit. One was let go, and the other two quit because their salaries just weren’t enough to live off of. Every single teacher had to take many pay cuts to help the school keep running. The school now has no money for prom, yearbook, or any extra curricular activities. Personally I have been disappointed because we could not construct a ROTC program. The reason we couldn’t was because there was (and still isn’t) any empty rooms that could used for the program. Of course the upstairs to our building would have been perfect, but we do not acquire the money for an elevator that the state requires. Even if we did have the money to install the elevator, we would need money to revamp and furnish the rooms.

We need as much help as possible, whether it be donations or simply just (good) media attention.

We're real. Look us up:
