I didn't say we directly came from apes...but usually they have the theory of humans evolving from: "Homo Habilis",-"Homo Erectus",-"Homo Sapien Neanderthalus"-then to "Homo Sapien- Sapiens"...

Christians believe in one God. Christians believe that Jesus died on the cross for our sins. Christians believe that they will be saved if they accept Jesus into their hearts. Christians believe that Jesus will come to Earth again and all who believe in Him (who wouldn't if He's standing right there in front of you?) will follow Him into Heaven and live together in happiness and peace for eternity and all who refuse to accept Him must therefore be evil and will go to Hell. Am I wrong? If so, correct me. I thought this was a fairly accurate (although blunt) interpretation of what the Bible says.
PS) Are some of you under the impression that I am ignorant and just spew hateful and spiteful posts everywhere because I don't know any better? You couldn't be more wrong.

quote: don't know what did, surely not a big-bang theory, because it's just that a theory
Oh god do I have get into explaining scientific terms agian to the bible pushers. quote: And I surely didn't come from any evolution, from an "Chimp"...
Yet another example poor understanding of scientific concepts. Chimps are viewed as our nearest existing ancestor, which implies we branched of common ancestor, not directly from a chimp.

The Big Bang is just a theory, and your Bible is just a book.

By me believing in Jesus Christ isn't grounds for anyone to condem the religion I believe in...My faith is stronger than any of those on this message board who believe that God doesn't exist...If God didn't create me then I don't know what did, surely not a big-bang theory, because it's just that a theory...And I surely didn't come from any evolution, from an "Chimp"...

First of all my word as well as others can be of more use to other people then merely myself. And salvation is infectous and just because God's grace is spilling out of someone doesn't mean they are forcing others into christ or god or religion.I can't stand that word religion. Don't confuse it real faith and salvation. Also I, and most christians believe that satan believes iN jesus as gods son and aknowledges that. Also someone said something about science PROVING christianity and other god-worshipping religions are wrong? I would like to ask what in science proves them wrong. Because usually science points to a higher being. And don't give me any evolution crap.

God is the only thing we can trust in this world! I KNOW He created me. Bad things happen because thier is sin in the world. It isn't Gods will for people to get sick and die. He lets it happen so we can draw nearer to him. He sent his son to die on the cross so we can be with Him forever. His will is for us to be with him forever when we leave this world.

to me god doesnt make any sense. My expeirence in churches is limited to funerals and greif of losing my best friend and grandparents. Church and God never made and logical feeling to me. Imean if god did exist why did he have to take away my perfectly healthy friend? In such a happy time in my life this was the first time i really thought about death. If there had been a god why hadn't he saved her? So, all church and god and religion confused me. I stay as far away from churches as possible because the only reason i ever go to one leads to death. i dont understand how someone can believe in god while there is so much left unexplained.

I think we should ban frivolous use of the word ignorant. It's being thrown around too much lately, and it's getting on my nerves. As we all know, a thing that is annoying to Jen is a bad, bad thing and should be eliminated. Permanently.
Love, Jen.

OMG just because someone believes in something other than say YOU! does not mean that you will burn and rot in HELL.....so basically if you say that...than you are saying that all other religions are not excepted and that everyone is going to burn in hell.....for the people who say that you are IGNORANT.

Does that mean you believe I will burn in hell because I disagree with you? There are so many holes in the Christian faith it is almost funny. If Satan tortures people who don't follow God's word wouldn't that mean he is on God's side? Did you know that some parts of the Bible were cut out and some parts were mistranslated? It also says that women are inferior to men. Did you know that Jesus couldn't have possibly been white? There is also a new theory out there that Jesus did not die but got married and had children and his bloodline still exists today. Pretty wild, huh? And despite what many people may think I don't say these things to make people mad, I say these things to make people THINK! So don't hate me for not being Christian. But if you do, too bad for you.

I don't believe in God. I don't think you're lying, I think you're saying what's from your heart. I bet you're going be yelling at me Morgan, after all the talks we had about God. But, I still don't believe it. Don't ask me why. I don't know. I just don't feel like there is a higher power. Or even a lower power (if you would call Satan that) I can't explain it. If I go to church and pray, I don't feel right, I feel like I'm going against something that is wrong for me. If that makes sense. -Sunset

I believe in God too, but I don't believe everything you said. I don't believe that God died on the cross to save everyone from sin -- that seems like an overblown death story to me. I believe in taking responsiblity for my own actions, including the wrong actions that I take. Having to rely on somebody else to clear you of your "sin" seems like a cop out to me. What do you all think?

___Even "luck" in general can be not believed in, let alone extremely lucky instances. Who's to say luck exists? I'd really hate to jinx myself so I'm sticking with statics and probability. Agnostic views are the safest because they don't guess at things impossible to know for sure. It's just not particularly interesting compared to the imagination of most other religions(they can't all be right, but who is to decide which, if any at all, isn't?).

quote: ya know you sound really crazy? Believing in God is like believing in witches and faries, and goblins and the sand man. But whatever, that's your belief crazy person.
Actually, when you look at it, it takes just as much faith to beleive in God as it does to believe in the sponanteous creation of life. We don't know, nor do we have any idea how protiens or DNA can come together. It would require immense amounts of energy, and a near impossible amount of luck.
