Thats all most humans do too. We are animals too. We are not special in any way. We are just sacks of meat waiting to die and be eaten by the worms.

There's no point in debating this. Most of the original points are invalid.
Most teenagers don't need any more energy, and weight loss could kill quite a few people, too.
There is no specific diet made for all of humans. Not eating meat doesn't make a difference.

Animals eat each other, what do you plan to do about that? Have talk with the Lions and convince them that apples are a better alternative to wildebeest?
Animals are stupid. They do not possess literature, art, mathematics, or complex Engineering ( Electronic, Biological, chemical, nuclear or medical). All they do is eat (often each other) sleep, poop, and reproduce. So why shouldn't Humans (the obviously dominate species) capitalize on this, and use these otherwise useless creatures to our advantage?
They eat us when they get hungry.

quote: Plants don't have brains or central nervous system. They cannot feel pain or trauma like animals can.
They can feel pain, but not to the extent that animals can. quote: They are not giving their lives. They’re lives are taken from them. Isn’t that murder?
It is not murder. It is the taking of life to sustain another. quote: The meat industry isn’t natural!
No it isn't, but going out into the wild and stabbing a moose in the head and dragging it home and eating it is indeed natural. I don't agree with factory farming at all, but I get hungry and meat physically and spiritually satisfies me. I really wish I could hunt animals the old fashioned way all the time but buying packedged meat is much easier.

So killing plants is ok? At least animals have a fighting chance.

quote: Thank them for giving their lives to feed you…
They are not giving their lives. They’re lives are taken from them. Isn’t that murder? quote: ..you should know that the ways of nature as they are meant to be.
The meat industry isn’t natural! It’s anything but natural! It’s sick! This is not the way things were meant to be: · Pig farmers mainly raise female pigs because she can give birth to “crops” of piglets. The female pig (or sow) goes from one pregnancy to the next without a break and the farmers will sometimes inject hormones into the pigs so they can produce more piglets quicker and cheaper. · Calves are fed an iron-deficient milk replacement gruel to keep their flesh white. It makes the claves anemic. They become so anemic that some die before getting to slaughter. quote: Without them [animals] we'd be dead.
I do agree with this statement, although in a different context. Sorry, I don’t mean to preach but I’m tired of people telling me my choice of diet is wrong and unhealthy, because it is neither. I started this board for the same reason I started my Wicca board; to dispel the lies about vegetarianism and to perhaps open people’s eyes. I’m not saying eating meat is evil. I’m saying that if you don’t you may be better off.

Still i see nothing with the idea in general. *shrugs shoulders

quote: Eggs are dead, aborted chicken embryos, beleive it or not
I was under the impression that most eggs are sold unfertalized, and therefore, processed, counting neither as alive nor dead.

You all wouldn't be vegetarians if you had an SNS cheese/steakburger.

Decaying vegetables, breathing, and global warming itself also contribute to global warming.

quote: Your brain is obviously starving.
LOL. Yeah, my brain is really starving for animal flesh. quote: Storm, I'm extremely disappointed in you. You call yourself Wiccan but you're trying to convince us not to eat meat like it's going to benefit anyone. You are only going make yourself happy if everyone stopped eating meat. That goes against Wiccan ethics... You need to learn more from nature before you start pushing your beliefs on everyone.
When did I ever say that the only way I would be happy is if everyone stopped eating meat? I don't believe I said that. And I'm not "pushing" vegetarianism (you make it sound as if I'm telling everyone to only eat salad or they will go to hell or something), I'm just trying to encourage a good and healthy diet. And encouraging vegetarianism is not against Wiccan ethics. Where did you get that idea? Does it go against the law "Harm none"? Of course not! The reason I stopped eating meat was because I became Wiccan. How can I respect the animals as my brothers if I eat them for dinner? quote: Should we stop wolves, lions, tigers, bears, etc., from eating meat?
They are not human beings and their bodies are built very in different ways so they have different needs. quote: I know that the Earth is in trouble but The LORD will keep it together and the Bible says the Earth will never perish.
Ha! You wish. So do I. We are killing the earth and God will not step in to save Her. We have to do that ourselves. quote: So that's why there are so many damn fat vegetarians...
LOL. Rock on. Thanx.

"Far more doctors and health experts will tell you that a vegetarian diet is much more beneficial for your body and mind than a meat-eating diet. ""
ha ha ha.. that is total BS... sorry but the idiots at PCRM and other places like them do not make up a majority of doctors and health experts.. in truth the AMA and ALL other major, respected health groups believe that a balanced diet consisting of MEAT fruits vegetables etc.. is the healthiest diet.... i hate to break it to you, but it is a fact..

Before I begin, if you are a vegetarian I respect your decision, but I WILL NOT stop my eating habits anytime soon.
First, if you are a vegetarian you better go Vegan. If you are not a vegan you simply an omnivore who eats vegetables and fruits more often than the rest of us. You cannot call yourself a vegetarian and then go to KFC for lunch, it just doesn't work that way. You either choose to eat meat sometimes, like the rest of us, or you don't consume any product that deals with an animal. Second, meat is healthful for you. you cannot possibly live without protein, and red meat is the easiest way to accomplish that goal. Anyway, life is boring without meat. If you just eat greens you are going to bore yourself to death. I know I am going to die, I embrace the die in fact. I am not going to make the few days I have on this earth by never having a good Omaha Steak, never enjoying fresh shrimp, never having a taco, and never drinking milk again. It just won't happen. I don't care about the environment, I know that the Earth is in trouble but The LORD will keep it together and the Bible says the Earth will never perish. Plus, if you care about the environment you would be writing about the carbon monoxide fumes are destroying the atmosphere more and more each day, yet you are asking people about whether or not they choose to eat MEAT!

<sarcasm> You know, if we don't make drastic and painful changes in the world, we will have to live on like we are presently. </sarcasm>
