I don't believe in labels...there's no reason to put a stereotype on people. I am who I am, if people want to perceive me as a punk than so be it, but I do not and will not call myself that or any other label.

Maybe I am just too old to understand this whole punk thing. Why would you want a lable on yourself. I don’t know about you but I don’t want to be refered to as anything other than just plain old me. But hey, where what you want, when you want and how you want, call youreslf what you want...just be sure it is because you want too. No sense in trying to impress people...it never works out they way you want it to.

well the problem with pop punk is that at the moment non of its any good, but I've got some Adverts and some Rut on vinyl who were seriously monstorusly pop-y and still kicked serious arse the thing with american punk is that most people completely ignore the 70s punk/new wave scene from new york, that gave us bands like Television, the New York Dolls, Richard Hell and the Voidoids, and dare I say it Blondie ? its not the americans could never do punk properly, its just the fact that we're capitilist pigs and we ruin a good thing. though I can tell you all the good punk is coming out of Japan at the moment. like the Sex Pistols, like the Ramones, then go take a gander at Guitar Wolf they rock, they're fast, angry, and completely boozed up. have I proved my punk-ness now?

What about aim? Should I make an account really quick? Maybe save that for another day. Can it have more than 2 people? Cuz if it can, I know Foxy would wanna join, same with Jiggz99 and others. But we should just talk some time, icm91.
Look on the STOP TECHNO board.

quote: the dead kennedys if they arent punk rock, not being an *** here or anything just want your opinion.
DK are about on the same level as any sellout band on Mtv, a little better though, they held on to just a little bit of integrity. And everyone saying who cares blah blah punk is a state of mind is right...because punk is dead. You can look punk and think punk, but it's dead. Punks were vicious street gangs from England in the late 60s and early 70s. After that punk tried to make a move to the USA and was swallowed up by the 80s sub-pop punk BS. It became cool and died. American kids then tried to bring over OI(also from England), which soon turned into what we all call hardcore...and even that line has become pretty thin between sucky NuMetal and crappy whatever it is they call all that other stuff now. Yeah there are some punk squater/street kids still roaming...but I promise none of them are on here. But hey this is all my opinion isn't it? So punk is whatever you want...go out in your BeBe jeans and kick some arse!!! Your sun is setting And the day grows late As we walk home This wasteland of hate There's people getting angry In the darkest hours There's blood on the streets The streets are ours Warriors, Never Forget The Warriors Our mates are a diamond And we shine like steel You'll never beat us down Because the wounds will never heal Don't take us for a ride You can't rob a warrior Of his pride Warriors, Never Forget The Warriors It's your hate on which we feed We are the new class We are the new breed Send our regards To a nation on fire And with love A boquet of barbed wire From The Warriors, Never Forget The Warriors You'll Never Forget The warriors

I was in Atlanta, Georgia, for this big Lutheran church youth group gathering two weeks ago. It was really cool, they had really good music (the rock bands got the crowd riled up real good) in the worship services/concerts.
Anyway, there were 20,000 screaming teens in this huge dome, and Audio Adrenaline played two separate times, about 6 songs total. One time I was in the front of the crowd (there were crowdsurfers, and shoulderstanders) and I was about 15 feet away from Audio Adrenaline's singer. They were awesome!

for one thing, you wouldnt be able to tell if somebody's a punk just by reading their profile. there are punks who are into all different things....such as my self i guess...people tell me i'm a punk just bcuz i wear dickies and i speak my mind and listen to loud music. i dont really care, its just who i am. and whoever said that no selfrespecting punk would listen to gc: ROCK ON BABY!! actually, screw me for sayin that. FORGET I SAID IT!!pleez. i mean, in my opinion the really cool bands are like flogging molly, our lady peace, the used, the distillers, i duno. i listen to everything from rock to heavy metal to christian(yes, christian music is COOL and they have awesome underground christian punk bands!! and also some well-known ones, check out reliant k and pillar) to basically ANYTHING!!! all the true punks i know are just accepting people with cool style and loud opinions and stuff. pointless post, but i'm kinda also writin to figure out who i am for myself..i dont really know, ya know?? thanx 4 ur time!! luv, erica

i hate to be an *** but "who are trying to be punk and failing miserably"....well so are you, because you cant BE punk that makes no sense, you try to hard to "be punk" your trying to fit a mold, be yourself, you yourself said thats just who you are, which it obviously isnt because if it is that would mean you have given up thinking for yourself and have decided to conform the sacred "punk rock ideals" i just think anyone going around saying im punk are just ignorant..whatever i dont want to argue about this im tired im going to sleep -mike
