There's really nothing you can do about it. If your friend is gay, then your friend is gay. All the laws in the world aren't going to change that but I'm glad that you're still friends with her because that's how it should be. She's still human and she still has a heart. Her preference is her prefernce.

The word homophobic is over used by the gay activists. I have a friend who is a lesbien, but I still don't approve of gay adoption or marriage or belive that such a lifestyle is moral.

I see nothing wrong with homosexuality, or bisexuality, or transgendered individuals, or anything regarding which gender an individual identifies with and who they have sex with.

Fuzzy: Hm. Sounds familiar, you think? Send her my love and hope for the future. If she needs to talk, I'm here. Just ask for my email anytime. I suffer from the same thing.

it sucks that so many people hate gay people. i have a few friends who are gay, and a friend who has what they call "gender identity disorder." he's just a guy, who was born a girl for some reasonsome people get mad and go 'whats wrong with her, why cant she just act like a girl?' i get what you mean about gay 'lifestyles, but theyre just people, with different needs.

-----"""I think it should have been Jake Gyllenhaal and Brad Pitt. But that's just me."""

Colin Farrell was considering the part Heath Ledger got, meaning it would have been Jake Gyllenhaal and Colin Farrell. That's an even better match I'd say, agewise especially, and it came close to happening. I swear I would have exploded if it had.

People are homophobic because they don't understand that people are different. And they are just so thick-headed that they can't stand that someone is not the same as themself. Homophobes are scared because they don't know gay people and are afraid of what they're like. Homophobia is a BIG problem in our society.

Being Gay isn't a "lifestyle". it's one aspect of your life but not the whole thing. There is no "Gay Lifestyle" just like there is no "Straight Lifestyle".

What does that even mean.

Why do you have to be homophobic just because you don't like their lifestyle. I'm not afraid of gay people, but I don't agree with their lifestyle. However I am ready to see Brokeback Mountain with Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal making out.

It is quite normal for people to be homophobic if noone close to them is gay.

My mother was homophobic. She knew gay people, but no one close to her was. When the issue of gay marriage came up earlier this year, she compared gays to dogs, which hurt me. A few months later I was harassed/threatened and taken out of school for being gay and I came out to my mom. Now, we're closer than we have been and she's no longer homophobic and has attended a PFLAG meeting. I find hiomophobia comes from not really knowing a gay person and that they are jsut like everyone else.

People are often afraid of what they don't know...or maybe it's not the "conventional" way of how things work out.
