You may complain that it doesn't fit here, but it does. This is a story and I'm sharing my failure.

I have a Mac. G3, OS 10.2

My problem is that it is getting old. it's been dying for a while, and the other night, it finally went. I accidentally hit the power switch on the surge protector so my computer shut off. I tried to reboot it, and have many times since then, but what happens is this:

it will bring up the grey loading screen and everything looks normal. The backround then turns the blue that it is behind the log in box, but alas, the login box never shows up. it does this over and over. The mouse is there, but not the box or anything else. It won't let me click or anything either. i was wondering if anyone had any knowledge on what I could do to get it on, or if it was possible. I have alot fo file son there that i will not be happy to lose.

Thanks a bunch.

Macs suck man, and I regularly use just about anything with a CPU in it. You can get a new Dell for something like $299, and if you don't like Windows there's always Linux...

Liberals prefer equality - all people should be equally poor, unsafe and badly-educated.
