Tell me: do you believe in miracles? Is there such thing as fate? Or is everything just luck?
My little sister was a surprise. My mom smokes, and didn't know she was pregnant. My little sister was born in my house, healthy. I believe that was a miracle.
One of my closest friends was once in a huge accident. Her entire car flipped onto its roof. She survived. I believe that was a miracle.
This year and the last I met a few people who have lead me through the way, who have helped me deal with so much. I believe that was fate.
Do you believe in miracles?

I don't believe in the impossible ever being possible. But I do believe that sometimes, something can occur against all odds, and that's almost a miracle.

My friend's 4 year old cousin, Rodney, was hit by a truck 9 days ago. He was directly sent to the hospital. They said that even if he lives he wouldn't even be talking for about another week or two. It's been 9 days since then. Today he is walking, talking, laughing, and being himself.

Back in December of 2003, a van made an illegal turn of front of my dad's Carolla which I was riding in the passenger seat of. The little Carolla hit the huge, commercial van at 40 mph, the passenger seat getting the most direct hit. The glass on the windshield right in front of me actually shattered inward, and the car was given an incredible smashing up. It was not even a question of whether the car would be beyond repair or not after we got out of it. But yes, we both did get out of it, with nothing more than airbag burns. The oddest part was that I was listening to my CD player before the crash, and I don't recall ever taking my headphones out of my ears, but I doubt they were forcefully yanked from them, because I think that's something I would have felt.
Do I consider this a miracle? Nah. I think my body just reacted exactly as it was supposed to and flooded with adrenaline and cortisol. The most primitive and instinctual part of my mind took over, and without realizing what I was doing, I yanked my headphones out and positioned myself in the best position possible for the crash. After I got out, the paramedics just looked from the completely smashed passenger side of the car to me, saying dumbfoundedly, "You were in there? YOU WERE IN THERE?" Incredible? Yes. Miracle? No. And I don't attribute this all to pure reaction, either; a number of other things, such as my height, worked in my favor. In other words, dumb luck and coincidence played a big part.
And when you get right down to it, is there really anything out there that the power of the human body and mind, dumb luck, and coincidence can't explain? In my opinion, no; but keep posting these awesome happenings, they really are incredible.
Oh, and my last words of thought: Was I extremely lucky to survive the crash, or extremely unlucky to be in the crash?

I do believe in miracles I personally believe I experienced a miracle. The Sunday nefore easter I was riding my horse and she decided she wanted to go back but i wouldnt let her so she started running back towards the house and bucking a little. Well a part of the saddle broke off and I went flying. I don't remember the fall but I remember waking up and having a bunch of people around me. I had to stay still and wait for the ambulance to come because some people saw me fall and the first thing to hit was my head. So they called the ambulance(I thank god for them everyday) And I went to the hospital in major pain and I had to get x-rays and cat scans. And it turns out I had only fractured my skull. I did not break my nec nor my spine and I wasn't paralyzed. I am glad for that. I however have to go to the doctors like every week now but I do believe it was a miracle I came out safe from that one. I wasn't wearing a helmet either so that's part of it. So wear you're helmets children, it's worth it. But I do believe in miracles. Sorry to burden you with my story but I felt it kind of necessary for my reasoning.

I try to be open minded about everything but i tend to reguard miracles as a way to comprehend something strange when one does not want to find a scientific explanation. that doesn't mean you shouldn't rejoyce over such good "fortune". I often wonder about fate... minority report has an interesting take at it. I've brought this up before but have you ever had a dream where your doing something and then something from the real world (like your mom calling your name) kind of bleeds into your dream but still makes perfect sense? So are drems instantanious? If not how did your subconcious know that your mother would be calling your name and that it should make your dream fit that occurance. Fate is something I'm still pretty open minded about for obvious reasons.

"""i think that everything is just luck.""" ___Believing in luck, is like believing in superstition. You do realize this do you not?
