'Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West.' It's a really great book! It makes you look are Glenda (sp?) in a whole knew light.
'Brave New World' LOVED IT! I read it in school and finished about three weeks before the rest of the class.
'1984' another great book. I love comparing and contrasting '1984' & 'Brave New World'
'A Handmaids Tale' I love the way Atwood writes! And I think this is one of her best. I have a little Atwood collection going.
'The Ultimate Hitchhikers Guide' it's all about Douglas Adams!!! I cannot get enough of this book! Its four books in one and hilarious! It really makes you think about a lot of things.
Ummmmm... OH!!
'Lolita' anyone read this? I am about half way through it, and so far it is really good. Kinda disturbing though. It’s about this guy and his "need" for nymphets. *Shiver*
I have a lot more but yeah... that all for now. ^_^

Both are very short, very short, but great to make you think:
1. The Cold Equation 2. On My Honor (maybe for younger audiences but with a lot to make you think)

"A Child Called 'It'" By- Dave Pelzer Makes you think, and makes you relize that your life isn't so bad. I bet the two other books after this one are really good too. (2nd book "The Lost Boy" & the 3rd "A Man Named Dave") "Someone Like You" is a really good book too. And so is "Keeping The Moon" (both by Sarah Dressen) And the "Harry Potter" series (by J.K. Rowling) are good too. I like real life books, but those series rock. Good Readin'! I can name many more, but got to finish HW. -DWR

Im reading "To Kill a Mockingbird" right now, and so far its not too exiting. I'm only on chapter 3 or 4, does it start getting better after that?
Some of the best books people should read are; 1. Big Trouble by Dave Barry 2. Little House on the Prarie 3. Shooting Stars 4. Someone Like you 5. Summer of the Monkeys 6. A Wrinkle in Time And also the Harry Potter books but I'm sure that most of you have read those. Anyone have any suggestions for good books to read, that aren't too sad?

Lamb: The Gospel According to Biff, Christ's Childhood Pal is hilarious, though it may offend some Christians. (As a Christian myself, I still thought it was great, but that's just me). It's by Christophe Moore. Just thought I'd add this one. Jen.

Hmm, when I was younger I loved the Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis. A few years agon, Ella Enchanted. Catcher in the Rye is awesome. Emily Bronte's poetry is good, though I'm not too fond of Wuthering Heights. Charlotte Bronte: Loved Jane Eyre when I first read it, but I was younger than ten. Reread it, and Jane is creepy. The Crimes of Charlotte Bronte is interesting. Pride and Prejudice, though lots of people find it boring. Anne Bishop's Black Jewels Trilogy, because I'm in love with Daemon Sadi. Lucivar too. Swordspoint by Ellen Kushner is awesome; her prose is like poetry. The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath is good, but disturbing. Anne Rice's anything with Lestat in it is cool. The Scarlet Pimpernel. Petshop of Horrors manga, because of Count D, though it has no plot. Carol Berg and Lynn Flewelling are good authors. William Blake and Emily Dickenson write excellent poetry. Demian by Herman Hesse was pretty good. I do like the Harry Potter books. Dean Koontz is good, though I've grown out of him mostly. I'll stop now, since this is getting long. Love, Jen.

Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance is pretty good. It'd be better if I wasn't trying to cram 175 some odd pages in before school starts, plus trying to read The Picture Of Dorian Gray in the same amount of time.

i've just got done reading, "My Ishmael", by Daniel Quinn. i read "Ishmael" and "The Story of B" last year. great series. very thought provoking indeed. "My Ishmael" has a raised alot of points that i've started turning over in my head. i need to vent hardcore. but i don't know where to start.
William Gibson is definitly one of my favorite authors right now also. can't get enough of that $***. Especially "Count Zero". i'm currently reading "Burning Chrome", which has some imaginative short stories. i don't even really like short stories all that much! except for H.H. Munro's work of course.
oh, and "On the Road" is great prose. eatsnackysmoores.
