The Picture Of Dorean Gray Dr. Jekel and Mr. Hide,Aimee, Green Angel, The Jean M. Auel books, Speak, Girl Interrupted, and anything by Diana Wynne Jones.

Anyone read Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury, 1984 by George Orwell, or maybe any of William Gibson's cyberpunk novels. Those book are good sci-fiction.

To Kill a Mockingbird was REALLY good, then i watched to movie to compare it...the movie did it very little justice.
The best books ever would be the Last Herald Mage Series by Mercedes Lackey. SUCH good books!!! And for the people who like government spy thrillers, Robert Ludlum is a genius!! (go, read the bourne identity...)
I'm a bookworm, sorry!

I read to Kill a Mockingbird. Thats a great book. I read it for school and wrote like a 5 page report on like the symbolism, characters, and plot of the story. Everyone should read it, its deals with prejudice and ignorance a lot.

I thought "To Kill a Mockingbird" was awesome. I think that the author was pure genius. She wrote a book set in the 30's that so clearly reflected what was going on at that time in the sixties, causing people to really examine what was going on around them. I also think it just sent out a really great message about equality and standing up for what you believe in, no matter what the consequences.

Machiavelli's "The Prince", Sun Tzu "The Art of War", Tom Clancy's "Rainbow Six", and just about any book on war tactics and strategy. By the way, "To Kill a Mockingbird", isnt that a little basic? It didnt have much of a plot, storyline, or anything. Yeah, its safe to say it sucked.

The Stranger, by Camus is an awesome read for sure. how human's can grow disconnected and emotionless. kill even. i love the first and second parts very much, but hated the end terribly. well rage against the machine anyways.......
the best french existentialist authour, for me, is without a doubt Sartre. read his "Nausea". it moves slow but is a very rewarding experience. after all, real life is not that exciting to begin with; but his trancendence shines through to the readers imagination, and you feel alive by the end. for a minute.
The Hobbit rules, and Roald Dahl is more creative than Vonnegutte (sorry Kurt).
the best sci-fi writer today is (and please mark my words-and check him out immediately) William Gibson (he wrote the short story Johnny Nemonic. Nueromancer, Countzero, Mona Lisa Overdrive is the trilogy and opus of his career. love matrixs', simulatedstimulation, apparent sensory perception, cyberspace, jacking in, AI? look no further than him. cutting edge. petro.

You guys, you REALLY need to read The Stranger (l'étranger in it's native language) by Albert Camus. It was a book we read in school, and everyone loves it. It's short (100) pages. It's interesting (written in a foreign country) and exciting (murder in Algeria!). It's easy to read. It will open your eyes to what exactly is so terrible about society. And it's a masterpiece, that is VERY highly acclaimed. IT'S WORTH THE 4 HOUR READ!!! Tweet30346 knows!

i like the Dune series, tho i stopped on Children of Dune. i think i was too young to understand it [14], but ill pick it up again. Taltos by Anne Rice. thats the third book in a series, and i started with it, but its good. also by her: The Vampire Armand, heh, never mind. Silmarillion, Book of Lost Tales [1 and 2] and Lord of the Rings by JRRT. Piers Anthony, like em all, but my favourite is Geis of the Gargoyle and Gollum in the Gears. i cant think of anything else, tho doubtless theres more...

My favs are Harry Potter (which the Catholic Church officially declared "ok"-even though I read them anyway...) and the Bible. I haven't actually read the entire Bible yet, but I got a cool teen edition and it is my New Years resolution to have it read in a year...
