Well, I say that God should be the leader of my life because I have so many faults...and He is the only one who knows what is going to happen and how to make everything happen for the good. You know what I mean? Like, if I am leading my life, it's so easy to get caught up in worldly things and fall into a downward spiral. And as much as my parents think they're helping me...they usually aren't. So I don't want them to lead my life...so God is the only one to come back to. And the awesome thing is: He'll let you come back even after you've done all these terrible things. I think God should be in charge of my life, and I'm oh-so-happy to let Him!
Hmm..let's see.. out of the three possible people that could run my life.. [mum..dad..me] I'd say me... I never listen to my parents...ever.. I know it sounds bad.. but that's the way I am... ever notice how a parent usually says 'never let anyone rule your life for you' well.. you try to do that with your 'rents..and they ground you! A bunch o' crap ain't it?
Hey, Jesus Christ is the one in charge of my life, I tryed leading myself and I messed everything up big time. It took the better part of my whole life to realize that I couldn't do the job right, once I finally found that out, it was the best thing that ever happened to me!
I would generally say me but it depends on what level this is pertaining to. If "ME" does not include my Genes and body Chemistry then no I would not say me.But if "ME" does include Genes and body chemistry then yes I would say me. I believe the Blank Slate Theory is wrong, I believe we do have a level of control, but also events in our life, wheter they be random or not, still shape and mold you and your body chemistry acts a certain way. I would say I control part of my life, probably about 50% of my live and natural events and my physical makeup controls the other 50%. Hope that makes sense.
Well for me,I think I'm incharge of my own life! You choose the way to go, and do things. BUT G-d Judges what you do, and if in anyway your rewarded, that probebly(defenitly)means you've done right!!!
I'd love to say that God is always in control of my life but He isn't always. My selfishness pushes back His voice so that the only thing I can hear is the things I want to do. But from the times that He has lead me I always end up better off than in the beggining. My stubborness gets in the way until I end up doing what I want. I know I am going to have to work especially hard on that issue in my life.
I have firm beliefs rooted in the Catholic Church and I believe that God does indeed have plan for all of us. However, free will is something that all creatures are endowed with and it is up to each person to choose their path, sometimes it's not always clear but there is always one somewhere. Therefore, I believe that all people decide what to do with their lives but are influenced by outside sources such as a religion, their parents, and the general exvironment we grew up in.
I agree with Tabb. I am Christian and do my best to follow where God leads me... sometimes I sin and I can't blame that on Him. It is ultimately the decision of the indivual whether they wish to do something or nothing for that matter.
However, I do believe that we should be careful what we put into ourselves. Our environment (family, friends, music, movies, games, etc...) has a lot to do with the way we view the world and how we react to it.
In the end you are in countro lof your onw life. You have the make the choices based on the information that you get in your life. God will tell you want he wants you to do, but you have to make the final decision to do it or not.
I run my life. My parents are helpful and give me opportunities but they leave it up to me to take them and make things happen for myself, which I try to do.
i am in charge of my own life. it bothers me, tho when people blame crimes and such on the the individuals influences not on the individual themselves. everyone should be responsible for whatever they do.
Short answer: An imaginary god cannot control you, and your parents cannot control you. You are ultimately the only force that is entirely in charge of your life.
Long answer: I think that everyone is in charge of their own lives. If somebody tells you to do something, you may or may not choose to listen to them. If someone tells you something, you may believe or disbelieve it as you wish. Everyone should be held accountable for their own actions, instead of claiming that some outside force beyond their control compelled them. People may attempt to control you, but they only succeed if you allow them to.
