I am conservative and support Bush, but I decided to see the movie anyway because I was curious about the controversy. I am still a Bush supporter and Michael Moore's propaganda has not changed my opinion on anything. It is obvious how one-sided the movie was. Michael Moore has lied in all his other books and films, from Roger and Me to Dude, where's my country? I would suggest reading Michael Moore is a Big Fat Idiot. It will show you how he distorts facts to advance his anti-american agenda. He's not even from Flint!

I think that even if it turned out everything in Fahrenheit 9/11 was correct people still shouldn't base their political beliefs on one source or opinion, I hope like crazy Bush doesn't get re-elected but that belief has nothing to do with that movie, and even if the movie changed my mind on something I wouldn't let it be the movie, it would be the info behind which I would check myself. Also, daveman, I used to do wrestling practice, including conditioning, 2 hours 4 days a week and I had tournaments and matches on top of that and I was still the chunky girl who hated going up stairs, and that was after I had lost weight and obviously hit my peak condition. Not to mention that I am only liberal concerning social issues and I think many people who say they are liberal often go by moral issues, when if they included their beliefs on economic issues they may change their mind somewhat.

my theory on this is that since fat people are to lazy to take care of there own body, they are to lazy to take care of there own life. so they want the gov. to do it for them.

Um, broadwayblonde88, anybody can have a biased opinion. Moreover, Moore himself admits that he's no fan of Bush and admits his bias.

And, you're completely, 100% wrong on "the good stuff about Bush". The media has shown very little but the bad stuff since December: They went after him because WMDs weren't found, then they went after him for the Abu Gharaib scandal (the New York Times ran TWO MONTHS of front-page stories on this, with the LA Times running, IIRC, 40 days straight). It's been nothing but one media-manufactured scandal after another.

Moore's garbage is just that. The only people who believe it are people that want to believe it. As he has done with past movies, he's either lied outright or "creatively edited" scenes to completely change events to his liking. For example, Moore lied outright in claiming that Fox News called Bush the winner of Florida. They did, but only after first claiming Gore won an hour before the polls closed along with the rest of the major networks. Fox didn't reverse itself claim Bush's win until 2 in the morning after the election. I remember this vividly, like it was yesterday. I suggest you check out that link DrStrangeLove just posted for bowlingfortruth.com.

But, the point is, he's biased. Everybody is biased to some extent. What makes you think he's any less biased than the 6 billion other people on our planet?

fist of all, we have no responsibility to the UN. if they dont want to back us fine but to say that we have to get every single country's approval is both wrong and impossible. on the loosing kids to bush. this war has been one of the most bloodless for America. you could the same about any war. you could say that parents lost their kids in WWII its just they way it works. those "kids" knew that when they joined the Aremd Forces taht they may have to go to war. and they have died fighting an evil and morbid enemy. how is that a waste?
i thought i had got this point across the Iraqi war was NOT for oil. is was a facet of the bigger war on terror.
what good things about the war? so far all ive seen is all the bombings, and an endless story on the Abu Ghraib. nothing about the mass graves, hardly anything on any of he beheadings, nothing on how iraq is being rebuilt, none of the good things. this movie, uses facts but grossly distorts them so people draqw the wrong conclusions. to say tht the movie was "unbiased" is extremely wrong. every liberal on this site would agree that it was biased. they dont all believe it was wrong but they believe it was biased.

Farenheit 9/11... How can you say that it is a biased opinion?? The reason Michael Moore made this movie is becuase this is the part no one knows about! Everyone else knows all the "good" stuff Bush has done so far. People have died so AMERICA can have it's D*MN oil!? Please, tell me how that is right? People have lost their kids to Bush... -I'm not saying this has never happened before... but, look at the circumstances. The U.N was not behind from the start.. hmmm, maybe they had a REASON?? Bush thinks that America is almighty... and so do many Americans that don't know better. But, if things keep on like this the world is going to get fed up with our pride. -and it won't be very pretty.

First, an anecdote. I've noticed that the vast majority of fat people - really fat - are extremely liberal. This is not intended to be a generalization, just a personal observation, so don't read into it too deeply. Just about every girl I've ever met and whose politics I know to be left-of-center, is pretty big. It's about 50-50 with guys. Not just around here, either: I've lived in a few places in my life, and noticed this there too. Again, this is just a personal observation, and I could be totally wrong.

At any rate, I've generally never criticized Moore for his weight, but his work. There is an abudance of criticism and proof of his lies and half-truths, both in Fahrenheit 9/11 and his other films. I think at least some people criticize his weight because it is rather ironic - or, actually, hypocritical - that such an obviously well-fed guy claims to be a liberal - a representative of the underclass, who can't make ends meet, yet, obviously, Moore's ends are meeting like crazy. Moreover, it's ironic that such a well-fed guy hurls so much vitriol and hatred towards his own country and most of which it stands for, when he is getting fat and wealthy because of our freedom. More than a few critics have said that if Moore hates America so much, why doesn't he get the f--- out and go to Ethiopia or Uganda. He'd be lucky to get a meal a day, let alone have the freedoms we do in those places.

Well, that's just one take on it.

hehehehe..."Michael Moore is a Big Fat Idiot"??? Oh my goodness. Cummon now, republicans have more creativity than that! That's a 3rd grade insult! And not even a very good one!! What's next, "Al Franken is a Doodyhead"? Yeah, Michael Moore's one-sided, but he has some good points.

Ya know right now I don't know who I support more Kerry or Bush. But honestly I think you have to understand Michael Moore before you start calling him " a big fat idiot" and such. I bet you Michael Moore wouldn't deny that his movies are totally biased but people like him for that. He's not afraid to say what he thinks unlike other people whom I think become defensive of the fact that he can speak out and be respected for it more than they could. (<--run-on sentence sorry)But honestly if you told him you're opinion I'm sure he'd respect it as long as you respected his. Think about it. Otherwise how do we get our points through clearly? If we were to sit there and be like "lalala im not listening!!!!!!!!" then people would be like "oh my gosh that person is so ignorant and disrespectful! Why should I hear out what they have to say?" If you're more respectful of people's opinions they will be of yours and who knows, maybe they'll respect yours so much they'll change they're minds. Think about it.
