Anyone ever submit a letter to the editor? Well, it's not too common for me to do so, even in my own paper (I write for a newspaper), but I did get one published by the Dallas Morning News today. You can read it here: http://www.dallasnews.com/sharedcontent/dws/dn/opinion/letters/stories/072204dnedithursdayletters.534e2.htmlBut just in case you aren't a registered subscriber to the DMN online edition, here's the letter that appeared: quote: Patriot Act is no friend Re: "Democratic security," by Barbara Taylor, Tuesday's Letters.
As a Republican, I resent Ms. Taylor's comments about the "liberal views of the Patriot Act." While no fan of Democrats or their platform, I do know my constitutional rights, and I know the Patriot Act is no friend of any of those rights. Ms. Taylor should compare both before spouting off.
The Patriot Act is not a partisan issue; it is a government one. And my government did not give me my rights.
As Republicans, we should all know that.

How is it supposedly so bad that Clinton lies about a blow job but lying under oath about issues that actually have to do with us is not getting the same action against it? ~Kitty

Ha. Yes, I have written a couple. One was published. It was about how we should impeach Bush for lying under oath.
