Hi, I'm a very helpful person. But whenever I help people my friends and other people laugh at me. It makes me not want to help people but at the same time I want to help. Plz help me decide whci is better, Not helping or helping?

Does it matter if people laugh at you?

Does it matter if the person that you are helping does something for you in return?

What matters is how it makes you feel,
if you had a chance to help someone and you didn't take it how would it make you feel?

Helping is a good thing, and through helping others you increase your own self worth,
and even if they don't say or do anything to say so you make the person that your helping feel important.

Helping others or in the community is good as long as you are doing it for a good cause and not a bad one.. like letting your friend cheat on a quiz or something like that.
Helping can boost up on's self esteem just as long as you know what you are doing and ti doesnt end up in bad causes. Helping is meant for the good of everyone.

Helping is a great thing to do. But,when you help people..do those people take the time to help you in return? And so what if people laugh at you? Why do you care what other people think, dont become a different person just because of people that have nothing else to do but make fun of other people to make themselves feel better. Keep doin what your doing, it'll help in the long run.

if youre happy with helping people, forget about what people says. your hobbies should fill your heart and sould, not anyone elses

I agree, you shouldn't care what other people think. I'm still trying to learn not to care what people think of me. Helping people out is good, and when no one notices, God does. He rewards those who do good things. My advice, keep helping others. But, don't expect to be rewarded, just do it because it's the right thing to do.

If you help someone for the wrong reasons then it's bad but if the help is wanted and appreciated then it's ok. Sometime people say they don't want help but are glad in the end that they were helped. I say keeping helping because you are doing a good thing.

Actually helping someone is a good thing most of the time. However, it's possible you're doing more harm than help.

Have you ever asked them why they laughed at you? They're probably not laughing at you just because you want to help. That would be silly.

It is good to help as long as you are able to do so. Also if whatever the person is asking for is good. Everyone may sometime need some help. so, always try to help somebody out so that one day you may be helped in return.

I'm generally a helpful person too, but there is a difference between being helpful and being controlling. Whenever you feel like jumping in and solving other peoples' problems, first ask yourself if they really need help-maybe they can fix their problems on their own. Maybe count to 10 or something like that before you swoop down with your helpfulness. Just a suggestion.
