I know i made a poll about this but please listen. We have a choice of whether or not we drink sodas.Every school in tennessee serves milk for lunch.Milk has more calories in it than 1 bottle of sprite. And more fat.So if milk has more calories & fat shouldn't they take milk out before sodas?tell me what u think

Just milk? It'd be okay if they at least serve juice, but plain milk? What about the lactose intolerant people? Like me?

I like a glass of milk with grilled-cheese sandwiches...
Soft drinks are packed with sugar, so I don't generally drink them. Caffeine does nothing for me, and the sugar that coats the surface of my teeth afterwards isn't so appealing.

Skim milk isn't loaded with fat and has very little cholesterol. Pop has way more chemicals than milk does.

quote: You miss the point that 1 20 oz bottle of soda has around 250 calories. A 12 oz can has around 170 calories. This is all refined sugar. Refinded sugar, if not burned immediately, is turned to fat, leading to obesity. Fat and protien are actually GOOD for you.
Also soda is filled with acids, which aren't good for tooth enamel.
And did you forget vitamins?
The good doctor is largely correct here, but I think it's worth pointing out that milk is not the incredible uber-healthy drink that most people think it is. It's loaded with fats and cholestrols, and pumped full of chemicals in the factories. Of course, it's still better for you than sugar-water (aka soda), but you shouldn't be drinking it exclusively.
