This isn't of any particular importance, but are any of you the only child in your family? I am. Does being the only child automatically make you more spoiled than if you had siblings (the sharing factor)? Or... do you have brothers and sisters? Which do you think is better? I used to think that having siblings would be a total drag, but when I think about it, isn't it better to have family like that when you're older? I won't try to get all deep about the topic.

so only childs are probably more spoiled than those with siblings

I have a sister,9 years older.I love my sister but honestly I don't think parents need more children...
Many families here have only 1 child,guess what?Most No.1 students of big exams have no siblings.

I'm an only child and it can get really lonely, especially when we go on vacation. When you have siblings, you can normally have fun with them at the beach or wherever you go. But when your an only child, you just have to hang out with your parents, which would be fine if they liked to do the stuff you do.

I have two older sisters and now a lil brother, but I always thought that it would be great to be any only child...being spoiled would be a plus...but having your parents only focus on you...its wonderful. But I wouldn't trade my sisters and brother for the world, though.

I am the youngest of 3 kids. My sister and brother are both older then me, my sister by 8 years and my brother by 3 years. Having siblings is cool because you can always hang out with them, I can also talk to my sister about anything. We share games with each other and we share the chores! Most of the time having siblings is a good thing. I like having siblings even though I never knew what being an only child is like.

i am an only child. i used to have a step sister and a step brother. but my mom and my step dad got a divorce. my step brother was just one year younger than me so we got along just fine. but my sister was 4 years younger than me. we didnt get along so great. she allways wanted to play dolls or house or sumthing like that. i was more in to bikes and stuff. i know i talk about them like they are dead. but its kinda like they are. i dont see them anymore.i like being an only child. but it gets boring sometimes. ok, thats all.

well... the only difference i've noticed is that it takes a little bit more for only children to adjust socially.

one only child friend of mine seems to think no one likes him and he has a hard time making guy friends. another is a pretty nice girl but she used to be really really self absorbed, last year she had an exchange student tho who helped. my most selfish friend has two younger siblings and two older half brothers (n some steps), so i think that has more to do with how you are raised.

he used to be really mean to me but now as i am almost 18 and he just turned 13, i think i get on his nerves more than he gets on mine. (i know he hates to drive w/ me cause i go fast and talk the whole time) but we get along better now.

i dont think it makes u spoiled to be an only child.. im an only child and my mom works and my dad is blind.. so i have to work too so we have enough money..i dont get everything i want.. and i learned to work for what i want.. lol dont take that the wrong way.. im not doing boot camp work or n e thing lol.. but when people ask if im spoiled because im an only child.. and their sitting on their butt with no jobs it makes me angry lol

I have a brother and a sister, they're both OK, but I guess they could both treat me better too! You see it actually pretty hard to be 5 years younger than your brother and 7 years younger than your sister! Believe me it's not easy for my parents either, you see we all fight a lot, especially with my sister!!

I have 5 older brothers--18 17 16 15 14.So we're all tight with each other.

i have a sister who is 18 and she messed up. SO now my dad and step-mom and mom and just about every other relative expects me to be perfect. I don't get ne attention unless i get into trouble (then i get tons).HEHE. Ne wayz every 1 wants me to be valavictorian* and be in tons of extra-cirricular-activities* and basically be perfect. So it really suks. OH yea and my 2 and 4 year old nephews live w/ us and their dad. (who is a real ******* and also screwed up). Oh yea and my step-sister finally moved out w/ her 3 kids (by the way in case u can't tell she screwed up). So me and my other step-brother (whom i have never met) are the only 1's who haven't screwed up). I g2g LATA

middle kid. my big sis is 19, i'm 17, and my little sis is 13. it's annoying, but i also love it.

I am not an only child, I have a 21 year old brother and a 22 year old sister. OH yeah then my 3 year old neice and month old nephew. My mom favors my brother and my dad favors my sister. They ignore me. I dont really care, I am not importaint anyways...
