Hello People, I'm a 29-year old Program Coordinator in Washington, D.C., I'm checking out this site, and it's really great. I decided to register and start a chat to see if I can get some advice on this program I'm starting. It's a youth advocacy program here in D.C., we'll be a resource for youth to 1. Share dialogue on issues that really concern them in their community 2.Identify and learn to get resources that they lack and need (like more job opps, better housing info, scholarships, college stuff) 3. Actually make an impact on their community (like testifying in front of D.C. City Council --we did it on 1/14). But here's the thing: we want the program to stay fun, and stay cool. I know this is a long Topic Message, but anyone out there ever participate in something like this (youth led initiative) and have it work that can offer advice on why it worked?
